Ocean View 4bd, 3 ba home with pool/spa in Cardiff by the Sea-10 day minimum.

We rent our home to 2 visitors each Summer. You will be staying in a home as opposed to a 'rental'. You will have a complete collection of plates, pots, pans etc. You also won't have to worry about every little condiment like salt, pepper, flour, sugar, oil etc. While you are staying here, we are off doing the same as you...enjoying Summer somewhere else.

We do have 2 cats that live on the property during your stay. (They are fed by the neighbors if you don't want to. We will pay you $125/week to feed them) Your children will love Honey Bee. You will likely never see Ranger except at feeding time. However, they will get into the house no matter what you do, even if you hate cats. If you have cat allergies or don't care for cats, we ask that you spare yourself this discomfort and look elsewhere. They can't be kept outside. One visitor tried and was thoroughly frustrated. We don't want this for any of our guests. We also have 2 dogs but they will be with us.

Our family friendly home is perfect for a summer vacation. Popular beaches(Swami's and Pipes) are within a half mile for surfing, swimming, and sunbathing. Have little ones? Moonlight Beach with its playground, lifeguard station, bathrooms and food vendors is 5 minutes away.

Want to stay home? The backyard has a pool, spa, lawn and basketball court. The pool area(secured by fence and self-latching gate) has loungers, chairs and a separate deck with bbq,stove, small fridge and sink for dining, along with a gas fire-pit for sitting around at night.

Inside the home we have one master suite, one guest suite(upstairs) with bath and two kid rooms that share a bath. One sofa collapses into a bed. Bedrooms have full linens, pillows etc. Bathrooms are stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner soap and tp.

The house is two stories and the kitchen, living room and dining room are upstairs to take in the view of the Pacific Ocean. The bi-fold doors off the living room open up to the large 2nd story ocean view deck that has a comfortable sofa and chairs and for enjoying the view. These doors can be left open to capture the cooling sea breezes.

The upper deck has a Weber Genesis gas grill but if you are into something more sporting, we do have a Weber kettle(with charcoal, chunk wood, and chimney starter) for those inclined to bbq.

The open kitchen comes with a full compliment of dishes, pots, pans, cutlery etc. We also provide paper towels, sponges, spices, condiments, oil etc. With 2 ovens, convection and air fry, along with a stove top view that faces the ocean horizon, the Chef doesn't have to miss out on a thing.

Music fans have indoor and outdoor speakers. An aux cord and/or Bluetooth is waiting for you and your digital device. Please keep in mind that we have terrific neighbors who work in the morning. We would like to remain on good terms with them. They expect to hear noise but please be considerate. We also have a big screen TV with cable. Wifi on site.

Vons and Rite-Aid are just around the corner, however Sprouts, Lazy Acres, Trader Joe's, and everyone's favorite, Seaside Market are a short drive away.

Cardiff by the Sea is in North San Diego County which means you are within 30 minutes of the San Diego Zoo, the Wild Animal Park(a family favorite), Sea World, Petco Park(for baseball fans), Legoland(10 minutes) north.

Disneyland is 1 hour north and Tijuana is 40 minutes south. Julian(up in the mountains) is one hour east. If it is cold and foggy at the beach, the Cuyamaca Mountains and the Laguna Mountains are usually quite pleasant(1 hour and change east)

Pool/jacuzzi service and landscaping come by once per week.

A small vegetable garden may have veggies ready for you. Please harvest and enjoy! Ditto for the fruit trees though the citrus will likely be out of season.

We set out 2 beach chairs and an umbrella should you need them. We also provide a State Parking Pass for lots at Cardiff Reef, Seaside, San Elijo etc. Please don't lose it.

Driveway has room for two cars to park and two more if you don't mind being blocked in.

Trash pick-up is on Friday. Please roll cans out to the street.
