Strong smell of old fashioned air freshener
"Check in was a good, nice professional guy. There is an overwhelming smell of air freshener in the lobby and stairs. They have a diffuser running with such a strong smell it hits you in the throat. Heating was on too so the place was stuffy."

"Hotel clean and staff lovely but whole facility looking a bit tired in areas - eg fixtures in our bedroom were very bashed and a couple of the plug sockets didn’t work. It was clearly amazing in its day - lovely staircases and stained glass. Bar and food were superb but dining was a bit chaotic. ..."
