Family vacay

We very much enjoyed our time in this beautiful home. Every bedroom was attractive and comfortable, the great room was lovely, the kitchen was well appointed, and the view from the deck was serene - the sky, greenery and the sounds of birds creating just the environment we wanted. It was conveniently located, close to downtown Carmel and the beach. We also appreciated having a pool table, which we played when we were hanging around the home. We were able to cook nice meals in the kitchen, and our family enjoyed sitting around the large dining table to eat our meals.

The only bad thing I have to say about this stay was the check-in process. The rest of the stay was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend staying here on your next trip.

Great place to stay!

This location is perfect! It’s close enough to everything but secluded enough to be quiet and private. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There was a lot to keep us occupied while at the house when we weren’t venturing out. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Great golf weekend.

This was a great getaway for my golf foursome and our spouses. The house was big enough to accommodate all four couples nicely. We would definitely recommend the house!

Great getaway weekend

The house was perfect for our family gathering. There were six adults and plenty of room for everyone. The location was perfect for our needs - the town, hiking and beach access were all within minutes of the house. The kitchen was great to work in and the pool table was a huge hit!

Wonderful multi-generational trip

Took both sets of grandparents for a weekend to Carmel with our teens. Used the first floor for the elderly and had our family in the downstairs rooms. We all loved the spaciousness of the home with extra common areas throughout. The neighborhood was great for walking our dogs, and the home is set against a beautiful back drop. Loved the views. Pool table was a plus. Would definitely return.

Beautiful home

Great home for families . Loved the hot tub, pool table and the brand new ping pong table . All beds comfortable . Plenty of towels and blankets driveway a little tricky . Beautiful grounds and views . Only downside was having to make extra stop to receive code to enter home .

Great space for four couples to comfortably sleep and for hanging out! We used the pool table and hot tub much more than I expected. We enjoyed foggy, cool mornings looking out over the canyon. The kitchen is well equipped for making a big breakfast and we used the grill for dinner once. Pebble Beach, Monterey and the beach & shops in Carmel are all close enough (10-20 minute drive max) that part of the group could do an excursion and return easily to meet up for other activities with everyone. Enjoyed Folktale Winery tour and drinks at La Playa. Marco at Carmel Coast Estate was very responsive and easy to work with. He was quick to fill the reserve propane tank (gas fire pit & grill) and dropped off extra Nespresso capsules!

Great house, great location.

The ground level included kitchen living room, dining room two nice bedrooms with bathroom for each. Downstairs was an office/den area two bedrooms and one bathroom. The property was great. Had fun playing pool with my family. The backyard expensive and beautiful. Management was great. Could not have asked for a better place to spend, while attending the Carmel Bach festival.

Conveniently located, very comfortable, would stay again

We had two adults and 4 seniors. House was comfortable and the location was prime. We've been to the Monterey/Carmel area before and stayed in the wharf area (which was nice) but this place was better. Fairly large house and easy access to everything id you have a car or can call an Uber. Mornings and evenings on the deck were great. But the house is clean and well kept.

Beautiful Home!

This house is spacious, well equipped and centrally located. I highly recommend this property for your Carmel getaway. I recommend driving into Carmel unless you’re in very great shape. It’s a long, steep uphill climb. We enjoyed the house immensely. Thank you!

All great w location, size for family 7 and apparent cleanliness. BUT, not clear okay for pets. Two of our family members had visit compromised w allergy attack to pet dander. Should be made obvious pets allowed.

Spring break with family

The place was even better than expected! Kids loved the pool table and having their own room. Easy enough for grandparents to get around with first floor bedroom. Kitchen was best stocked I’ve ever had in a rental. Parking was easy and was able to walk into downtown for some exercise. Would be a great value for any family vacation. Only thing was having to stop off for keys. Most rentals I’ve had used key pad to avoid this, but not a dealbreaker.

Convenient for Marathon Runner

This place was just what we wanted and needed it to be! Very convenient location for Big Sur Marathon participant as it’s less than 2 miles to finish line! Was large enough to accommodate 5 adults and 2 small children and was extremely comfortable and clean! Marathon Runner especially enjoyed hot tub before and after the race! Everyone enjoyed the fire pit on back porch that overlooked a beautiful wooded valley view! Marco ( the property manager) is very efficient and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed.

Beautiful home

This home was absolutely lovely and well equipped. Our adult children really enjoyed the pool table and we loved the decks. The home is really well equipped and you need nothing. Coast Estate Rentals were fabulous they brought a brand new mattress to the house and responded immediately to any concerns. My only complaint would be the location, the walk to down is just over a mile and the walk back is up hill and very very dark at night. It is on the east side of Route 1, when we booked the map made it look like the west side. Other than that it was a great stay!

Excellent property however is not up to code. The stairway is too steep and no railings resulting in one of our guests having a fall which resulted in a compression fracture in her back.

False listing

The house was good, as advertised and suited our needs. However, we would never have rented the house where the house was located. The VRBO listing showed the house on the west side of Highway 1 closer to Carmel and an easy walk to shopping, restaurants; but when provided the address the day before our stay we found that it was on the east side of Highway 1 and not conducive to walking to town. When we asked for an adjustment, we have been run around and ignored.

Thanksgiving

Our family of 6 stayed at this beautiful property for Thanksgiving week; the house was perfect! Open layout allowed for plenty of space to gather, and the kitchen was VERY well appointed to make a full Thanksgiving dinner. A small note that walking into the village is not quite as easy as we hoped, you have to cross over Rt 1, but overall we would happily recommend this beautiful home.
