「Stayed at the George Washington in room 6 on 15th July. Room very nice and clean with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer provided flatscreen tv and nice shower and towels. 「The Red Dragon is advertised as "Has Onsite parking Very Rare for location. That was the reason we booked it. When we arrived we discovered it has zero parking. The manager and staff apologised and advised where we should park. the town is short of longterm parking. We ended up spening a lot of time driving around and paying a lot for overnight parking. The rooms are fine. the breakfast very good, the Staff friendly and helpful」

「Friendly staff including one who formerly and by sheer coincidence worked at the good old boarding school I proudly attended years ago. Overall, I’m extremely impressed with everything including the high standards location and amenities. Cleanliness were very good apart from some surfaces needed a little dusting and one of the bedroom lamps didn’t work though again, overall the standards are extremely high and I’d certainly recommend future guests and I’d certainly return.」

「What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. Thank you, we had a great evening and a cracking breakfast to boot.」
