“Basic old Inn with reasonable facilities and ok meals”

“Lovely welcome from the landlady. We ate our evening meal on arrival a d the food was delicious. Had a lovely stay and yummy breakfast. Will definitely return”

“Everything perfect, only thing for me on the day would be a slightly earlier breakfast, maybe 7.30 to get up the mountain earlier but that’s personal preference. Thank you for keeping my sandwiches fresh in the fridge.”

“Generally a good experience, but with reservations. A hotel of character, much nicer than bland city tower blocks, but ready for overall refurbishment. Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. Food excellent quality, well prepared. More choice of breakfast buffet items would be welcome. If you are solo and book in advance for dinner, be aware that you might……

“Excellent value for money. The rooms were very comfortable with quality fittings and accessories. The staff were both pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was well prepared and tailored to our requests. We would recommend the Riverside Inn unreservedly.”

“The room was spacious and clean and the bed was large and comfortable. Decaf and ordinary coffee, tea and hot chocolate supplied and refreshed each day. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay there again.”

Big mention to three of the staff Will, Osian “Fish” and Willow who really went out of their way to make sure our 3 night stay was very memorable.
