Great Location and Space to Relax

Easy check-in and great location near Carolina Beach boardwalk, shopping, and restaurants. Clean house, a few steps to the sand and ocean, and great relaxing on the back deck with a coffee!

Property was spotless and the host were very responsive/ the view we had daily while having our morning coffee was beautiful. We also enjoyed hear the waves crash the beach. We would stay here again

Amazing weekend at the beach. Wonderful place. Clean, comfortable, and gorgeous views. Host was very accommodating. Our girls and the dogs had a ton of fun on the beach. Great experience.

Family Vacay

The house was absolutely perfect for our family stay. Being right on the beach is priceless with children ages 2 & 3. The sunrise views in the morning are beautiful & gets your day started on the right foot. Very centrally located - went to the aquarium one morning (10 minutes away), ice cream right across the street, Tiki Bar a few houses down & Publix one mile away. Love the retro feel of Carolina Beach & watched the surfers every day!

Perfect for Girls Weekend

Everything about this house was just right for our group of 5. The only complaints we had were that the lock box for the key was a bit difficult to open and the showers are really small. But location was perfect and overall property was very nice. Would definitely stay here again!

Bringing in the New Year

Enjoyed our time at this great location on Carolina Beach. Beautiful ocean views and close to a variety of restaurants, bars, etc. Location was close for a short drive to the NC Aquarium and a ferry ride to Southport, which made for a great day. House was comfy and we appreciated the private walkway to the beach to take our fur babies for daily strolls. Had a great view from the back deck for the New Year fireworks display at Kure Beach! Hope to return again soon -- had a great time at Sol Shine!

Would give five stars all around other than two things...1. need a new dishwasher or a major cleaning. We hand washed everything. 2. Showers are pretty small. We managed, but someone of larger stature would probably have trouble.

The house is very well equipped and the kitchen has more useful pots, pans, and utensils than most rentals. We were also really surprised and pleased at how truly dog friendly the house is. The couches even had couch covers and there was a basket of dog items by the door. It’s nice to be in a rental and not feel paranoid about having a dog.It was a bit chilly while we were there, but that didn’t matter because there’s a great view of the ocean from the living room! On days when it was a little warmer, we loved sitting out on the deck and the easy access to the beach. We used the downstairs studio for a younger couple in our family. This worked out perfectly for us, but the 2 floors are a little more separate than we had imagined. I highly recommend this house at Carolina Beach! We had such a great time that we already booked a return visit!

Great House Right on the Beach and Fantastic Location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family (all adults) had a wonderful vacation at Sol Shine a few weeks ago! We loved being able to bring our dogs! The location was fantastic; we could walk to bars and restaurants, and of course, the Tiki Bar right on the beach is just steps from our house. There's an ice cream place just across the street, too. The Property Mgt company was great. I realized when I got home that I had left some bathing suits hanging on the back of the bathroom door, and they mailed them to me. The indoor and porch space was perfect for us, although there was not enough outdoor seating for everyone. The view is incredible, so we didn't mind standing up out there to hang out. We also appreciated having a second refrigerator in the garage as well as a nice washing machine and dryer. A few things to note:1. The spiral staircase is in a hot, creepy stairwell that leads from the upstairs to the garage. If going to the downstairs apartment from inside, you go down that spiral staircase that leads to the garage, then walk through the garage to get to the downstairs apartment. We LOVED the apartment, but we always used the outside stairs to go back and forth--even when it was raining. (Side note: we have a spiral staircase in our home and were not phased when we read about one being in this house, but this one is the tiniest one we've ever seen.)2. We had 8 people and there were only 7 forks. We washed dishes a lot.3. There are no beach chairs or umbrellas, so bring your own.4. The bunk beds are very uncomfortable. They may be comfy for small kids but not for adults. The other beds were all very comfortable, though.It was our first time visiting Carolina Beach, and we loved it! We'd definitely come back, and we'd stay at Sol Shine again, too!

The house is very accommodating for multiple actives happening simultaneously. Lots of room to lounge and sleep.The porch is outstanding with lots of chairs and a pleasant outdoor shower to get the sand off when you finish s inning. The only thing missing is a sleeping hammock!As others noted, the indoor showers are a bit small, but that is our only negative comment Eveything else was terrific..
