"Our stay at Hotel Amira was beyond expectations and exceptional. The location and the staff, especially the hotel manager, went above and beyond to make our stay more than comfortable. The location was great. Several choices of restaurants nearby and close to beaches. Having stayed at many places in Costa Rica I would highly recommend Hotel Amira as a great place to stay."

"The hotel room was spacious and clean. The property is clean, well-decorated, and we felt very safe. The staff was very friendly and appreciated a friendly conversation. Many of the staff recognized my partner and me and remembered our drink orders. The pool is absolutely beautiful and well-maintained, but we wish there were more pool chairs with umbrellas, as the sun is very intense. The beach is gorgeous with safe swimming access, which was a huge plus. The restaurants were great, but we were unsure about how to access the Nikoa restaurant and pool. We only stayed a week, and we thought that if we stayed longer, the food options would get old, which was why we were trying to figure out the other restaurants. The Nikoa pool and restaurant seemed like a super-nice, new part of the property that was hardly used at all. We also attended the free yoga classes on-site at the hotel, and the instructor was excellent. However, the hotel gym was old, dirty, and had no AC, which was crazy considering it's over 90 degrees every day. Overall, we would definitely stay at this hotel again. We felt we got a lot of value for what we paid!"

"The property is excellent. The pool is huge and has a large shady place to sit and places in the sun as well. We stayed two months and went to the beach every morning. Thoroughly enjoyed the house and found it very comfortable. Our daughter and a friend joined us for a week and we expected them to share a bedroom. There is a third bedroom with ensuite not mentioned in the listing.There a many good restuarants, bakeries, grocery shopping and a drug store very close by.Easy to deal with the owner, Erik and with Fred who lives on the same street. Both very responsive and helpful."

"This was the best hotel we stayed at in all of Costa Rica! Absolutely gorgeous property, beautiful pool, clean rooms, the most comfortable beds, and wonderful made to order breakfast. Geraldine, the breakfast waitress is a delight! She's so funny and personable despite the language barrier. We traveled with our 3 year old and we were delighted to find toys and children's books in the lovely sitting area. Such a big help for parents! I'm so happy we stayed here!"

"The house was great! The best part of this property is the host and staff! Top notch! They were there to greet us, there for anything in between and there to say goodbye when we left. Housekeeper and security guard were so nice and accommodating! Highly recommend this property!"

"This apartment is beautiful! Even better than advertised. Walking distance to the beach, stores, and places to eat. We loved watching , and listening, to the birds and Howler monkeys from "our" kitchen. Jackie and Rick are great!! Highly recommended!"

"We absolutely loved our stay here! We had 4 kids with us. They provided a pack and play for our 2 year old, which was great. The house was well stocked, close to restaurants and markets and yet seems completely secluded. We all LOVED the pool! The kids loved having snacks at the swim up bar. We also enjoyed some of the games in the evening. The owner also owns a tour company. We went on the dolphin/snorkeling tour. We saw humpback whales, sea turtles and dolphins. Also recommend 10/10!"
