Albert 1'er Hotel Nice, France

"The Albert 1er hotel is a very pretty, deco, little hotel, in a great location. The rooms are not too large and we found that our room was very tight for two people with luggage. Unfortunately, our television was not working in our room which was too bad. The staff were incredibly nice. They were pleasant, helpful and professional. As for the breakfast, it was just okay. I would recommend that fresh fruit be served instead of preserved fruit as well a some low calorie items. I was just happy to have my coffee and a baguette. We would definitely stay again but make sure to travel with less bags."

"It’s a historic hotel. The location is perfect. Right on the promenade. Just a short walk to old town. And just a few blocks away from many restaurants. The stuff was very helpful. Everyone at the front seat was respectful and willing to answer any questions and address any issues. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the stuff at the restaurant was really good. The rooms were spacious. However, they are in need of some serious improvements. The furniture needs to be upgraded too. Way too old and falling apart. You can still retain your historic look. Just upgrade the rooms."

"The hotel’s outstanding feature is its location along Promenade de Anglais with its sea view, whether you are having a drink, eating breakfast or sitting outside on the balcony of one of several rooms facing the beach. The location is also very convenient for airport transfer, buses, trams and trains. The area around the hotel has excellent restaurants serving different cuisines, and a wonderful boulangerie, Armand. The staff are excellent, very helpful and amenable to requests, even at short notice. Servers at the buffet breakfast are likewise excellent, catering to the taste for special coffees like expresso and cafe au lait. Highly recommended, 10/10!"

"My only complaint was the way it’s advertised you would think the beach is a part of the hotel, and maybe it is but when I found out they wanted to charge me $35 per chair and $5 for a towel I was turned off. Being a hotel beach, if that’s the actual case I think guest should have FREE access to chairs and especially towels. We walked down to the next Set of chairs and umbrellas paid $30 for chairs and towels. And the lunch was amazing also. That was my only issue, I booked a week for the beach so $80 a day for the beach just didn’t sit well. Otherwise great location to everything. Can’t comment on the food. We would probably stay there again but having the knowledge of the beach is helpful"

"2 nights spent here. Lovely clean and modern rooms with beautiful views to the mountains, central walking distance to tram/train, nothing further than 10/15 mins. Maid service daily with beds made and towel replacements. Luggage storage services and super accommodating, pleasant staff on reception. Can’t comment on hotel amenities as we only used the room as a base. Only slight thing was thin walls but our neighbours were quiet luckily. Would 100% recommend staying here!"
