This house was amazing. It was spacious, clean and well-equipped with a fabulous pool, a lovely garden and near to amenities (but felt very private). The owner Tony and his local representative Antonio could not have been more helpful in making sure we had everything we needed and making suggestions about things to do or where to eat etc.I really couldn't fault it - we had a brilliant holiday there and there is so much to do in the local area, we will have to come back!
We really enjoyed our stay with our kids and friends. Tony was really helpful and gave us a lot of information for our stay. We can really recommend it.
We had a fabulous 2 weeks at the villa. We enjoyed lazy days by the pool during the hot daytimes. The Villa is well situated for visiting typical Abruzzo villages and the Trabocchi coast. The villa has everything you need for your holiday and was ample big enough for 6 adults and 3 children. The sunsets from the balcony were beautiful! Having aircon in the bedrooms was such a great addition during the hot evenings. Tony’s instructions and communication throughout the whole process was fantastic, so helpful! Antonio checked in on us and made sure we had all that we needed. Tina, the cleaner, gave us lots of recommendations for places to visit and places to eat! Would highly recommend this villa if you’re after a real piece of Abruzzo in the countryside.
We had an absolutely amazing stay in Casa Trastulli. Everybody involved with running the Villa were fabulous, friendly, always there to help and Tony the owner came back to any questions I had straight away. We stayed as two families with 5 teenagers. They loved having the top floor to themselves. I loved the ensuites and the outside and the views were just breathtaking. The pool was used all the time and everything was thought through and catered for and the villa was comfy and in immaculate condition. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone and we will definitely return. The town was full of very friendly people and we made some lovely friends - a huge thank you for some very happy memories to Tony and his team xxxx

A little gem of a villa!
Casa Trastulli is the most comfortable, relaxing villa set in beautiful Italian countryside. We love staying there, only a 5 minute drive into the local town, where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and the most wonderful focaccia from the local bakery. It's very easy to use it as a base to explore the wider region, or just spending days relaxing in the sunshine by the pool. We've been there four times now and would highly recommend it!
Great house to stay in. Very cozy and charming. Tony is a great host to have contact with. Very nice to have your own pool. We where nine people and still the house didnt feel crowded. Nice surrondings.
This place was just perfect! We were there with My family (three Kids under 8) and My parents. We alla had such a lovely stay. Kids LOVED The pool and so did rest of us. Garden IS beautiful. House is clean, beutifully decorated and beds are so comfortable. Kitchen is everything you can wish For and IT IS a pleasure to Cook there. Owners couldnt Be More nice and helpful. They were always ready to help with everything! Book this and enjoy! Miss it already.

Lovely relaxing time in great villa
We spent a fantastic week in this villa in lovely Abruzzo. The house is comfortable, spacious and well equipped, and the beds very comfortable. Our children spent a lot of time in the pool - very shallow at one end. The garden is secluded and a great spot for cricket - sadly we didn't get to see the resident mole who seems very fond of digging in the garden!
Tony's communication was very good and the information about the local area, shops and restaurants was very helpful. The local village has a good pizzeria and local shops - great focaccia at the bakers, and fantastic wine which we found at a local vineyard. Although on a road, we were not bothered by noise and the views around of the countryside and mountains are great. Great beaches only 30 minutes' drive.
All in all we had a fantastic week and only wish we could have stayed longer.

outstanding holiday & stunning property
From the moment I came across this villa on the website to returning home this villa and the experience were amazing. Tony could not have been more helpful. Mum and I arrived early and were due to stay two nights in a hotel it was so bad, Tony kindly agreed for us to take the villa over a day early.
The villa itself was exceptional. We have stayed in a lot of villas in many different countries and this was certainly one of the best. Every bit of equipment you could possibly want was provided. It was spotlessly clean and just felt like home rather than a holiday property.
Antonio was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. The lady who did the cleaning was very helpful along with the gardener.
The area was great - the mountains stunning, and to come back to a pool every day was just the icing on the cake.
I would highly recommend this property and if you want to see what the real Italy is like - this is just the place to go
House clean, mosquito window nets broken upstairs, window security upstairs for children?, top floor bathroom window broken, outside patio needed good sweep as waterbomb balloons scattered about as they were on balcony. Mop not functional, bbq not useable(dirty) although brick/charcoal bbq excellent and one lounger broken, although promptly replaced. Could do with house name on house as road name not on all satnavs.
Despite minor comments above a brilliant holiday enjoyed by all with good facilities, private/secluded good security, accommodation, pool, Castel Frentano has all you need but Conad supermarket not far away in Lanciano and the jewel in the crown Antonio ( local knowledge advice and his cooking)

Fall Visit
In late September/early October, my mother, sister, two brothers, one with his wife, as well as myself (so 6 of us) visited Casa Trastulli. We found the property to be just as described and pictured on the website. We stayed at this lovely home for two weeks in the fall of 2012, seeking a relaxing time with family members from several states, and wanting to explore authentic small town life in the Abruzzi area. The owner provided everything we could wish for...a beautiful setting, a clean and well appointed home, comfortable beds, and modern amenities. In late September the weather was lovely, and we spent a few afternoons relaxing by the pool. The upper balcony, with its view of the twinkling town in the evenings was the perfect way to end each day. We visited the nearby town and wineries and ate at several great local restaurants. The locals in the nearby town treated us like celebrities, especially when we made any attempts to speak the language with our horrible American accents. We have family in the area, and this home was not only convenient to them, but served as a great place to entertain them in the evenings when we were not at one of their homes. I would go back to Casa Trastulli in a minute if I had the chance. The owner responded to my emails to answer questions usually within minutes, and he couldn't have been any nicer in helping us prepare for our stay at his lovely home. I cannot imagine that anyone would be disappointed with a visit to this lovely property.

Just an amazing holiday!
From start to finish this was a fantastic experience. We felt we got to know Tony well as all his correspondence was friendly, helpful and always welcome. The house itself is amazing. The photographs are great online but don't do justice to the house, grounds and views. Everything you could need was provided and very quickly we felt at home. We were two families of four and the house was easily big enough to accommodate us without feeling like we were stepping on toes. The bedrooms are spacious and airy and the air con works a treat. Star of the show was the pool and garden. We used it every day and the kids were always reluctant to get out but the lure of food always helped. And the food was amazing! Recommendations from Tony and Lynne were always great and although it took us a few days to get used to having some of our meals chosen for us by the chef in the absence of menus, we had meals that were exactly how we expected - fresh, delicious and lovingly created. Tony and Lynne apologise for the length of the info supplied but it was extremely helpful for everything from local contacts to bin collections! There has obviously been a great deal of investment and care put into the house and it's maintenance. All in, we would heartily recommend this villa and would love to return (as soon as we can). This is a taste of real Italy and although it's a short drive to towns, the coast and the mountains you still feel as if you're the only tourists around! And that's not a bad thing ! The people were all really friendly and helpful and local prices are really cheap, especially compared to Rome! Our top tip - get a good phrasebook and use as much Italian as you can - it really helps!
Thanks Tony and Lynne!

The perfect holiday retreat!
We decided that we wanted to explore Italy, but weren't exactly sure as to where to go. After shortlisting this property from a group of around 30, we decided that the location and layout of the house, coupled with it's own private pool, suited our needs perfectly.
Arriving late on a Saturday night with full detailed directions to hand, we found a large lasagne waiting to be put into the oven and a welcoming bottle of the local red - a brilliant way to start your holiday!
The next day saw us waking to brilliant sunshine and the fantastic views that this house has to offer, both over the fields to the local town and to the sea in the other direction. The house itself was spotlessly clean, with all the beds made, towels provided etc. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could hope for, and with 2 BBQs outside you're never short of options for cooking. The house has a lovely 1st floor balcony which is perfect for evening drinks and also has a large table and chairs on the patio just outside the kitchen.
The location of the property is ideal, being about a 20 minute walk from the small local town where there is a good variety of bars and small restaurants which provide very tasty and varied food. There is also the option of eating at one of the many agroturismo places dotted throughout the countryside, providing local and plentiful food, which is a welcome treat at lunchtimes.
The house is perhaps a 25 minute drive from some fantastic beaches where you'll find pedalos to hire and some great eateries.
The nearby historic town of Lanciano caters for your every day needs with large supermarkets, a good variety of restaurants, history and almost everything else.
The villa in Castel Frantano is well furnished with a large table and benches in the dining room, comfy sofas with tv and hifi in the living room, 2 double en-suite bedrooms and 2 further bedrooms on the top floor, each with 3 single beds. Everything is in good condition and it's clear that the owners take great pride in the house, with nothing being too much of a problem. They had even gone to the effort of asking a local resident to pop in every couple of days just to make sure things were fine, to clear the pool of leaves or provide advice as to where you may want to visit next - nothing was too much trouble!
All in, this was a fabulous holiday in exceptional accomodation which lay in an idyllic location in unspoilt countryside. We enjoyed it so much that we've booked again in 2014!
Perfetta casa nelle colline Abruzzesi.
Lovely stay in a 3 level house with nice garden and great pool. Fully equipped house with fantastic kitchen. Excellent contacts with owner Tony ( his guide about the house and the region is the best I have ever seen) and with local contact Antonio who is the Italian hospitality in person. The location of the house is great, halfway beach and mountains, and close to the city of Lanciano. Recommended!
We had a fantastic stay in castel frentano. The house pool and outdoor spaces were fantastic and it was a nice walk into town. The view from the upstairs balcony was amazing and Antonio was very helpful.
We loved the amazing villages of Abruzzo and the fact that it wasn’t over run with tourists.
We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely week.
Stayed this summer with my sister, two families consisting of 4 adults and 6 children aged between 16 and 7 and the house accomodated us easily. The property was spacious and clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Highlight of the holiday was the pool which was in almost constant use hosting many games of water polo and the likes, very good for the younger children who were not strong swimmers as they could still take part in the shallower end of the pool. We were blessed with incredible weather and were very thankful of the air con! Most of our time was spent poolside but we also ventured to the beach Casalbordino, on the first visit the sea was calm, warm and clear and we spent hours in the water swimming and around the rocks watching small fish, the second visit found the sea much rougher and we all had fun in the waves. Local Oasi supermarket in Lanciano was great for supplies and gelato, the staff were very friendly and spoke fantastic English. We stumbled across a local festival in Pretoro in which the hill top village is lit up at night and street food and goods are sold along the winding roads which twist up through the town, it was a very honest look at modern Italy celebrating its old traditions, Thoroughly enjoyed out trip.
