"Pros: The hosts are so wonderful and friendly and made us feel very welcome! The house is big and open planned. The swimming pool is clean and big. Great to have a petanque area outdoors - this area sees the shade the earliest, as located on a lower level to the house, the middle level hosts the pool and the upper level is the house level with a huge(!) balcony overlooking the pool with lake views. "The pictures in the description is misleading, I.e. the first picture of the pool is not on the property, but is situated two houses down the road on the owners property. What made us stay was the fact that we only had four nights and was having field days to Monaco, Nice and Cannes. Owner was friendly and very nice."

"Pros: Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Die Stille, der Pool ganz alleine für uns. Das Haus liegt am Rande eines wunderschönen, historischen Dorfes. Unser Hund fand es auch wunderbar. Restaurants und Dorfmitte liegen fußläufig erreichbar. Danke für deine Gastfreundschaft, Lionel."

"Nous avons un passé un super séjour dans cette villa, tout est conforme à l'annonce. La propriétaire a été aux petits soins avec nous, elle a pris de son temps pour m'accueillir avant le séjour pour préparer une surprise à mes amis, même un feu de cheminée nous attendait. Les équipements sont parfait. Je recommande vivement la villa Magda."

"Pros: Maison joliment décorée, bien située en pleine nature, vue sur les montagnes avec des circuits randonnée à proximité. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le calme, le plaisir des petits-déjeuners dans la prairie avec le soleil et le chant des oiseaux, de pouvoir se délasser dans la piscine ainsi que le très bon accueil des propriétaires"

"We had two wonderful spring days in Callas. The house and terraces were well equipped, nice and clean and the landlord very helpful. Can be recommended!"

Hotel Restaurant Ma Petite Auberge

"This auberge is situated in the centre of Castellane, with a river at the rear that you can swim in. The breakfast was varied and there was plenty of it, lovely staff who were very friendly and helpful. There is a large rear shaded terrace which was quiet snd you could relax have a drink. Castellane has a friendly, busy but relaxed vibe, plenty to see and do. I would definitely stay again. Ask for a room on the rear so that it is hidden from the buzz of the square. "

Hôtel du Parc

"I hate writing negative reviews, but if I saw a review like this, I would 't have made the mistake of staying. Its rare the rating system on this site fails me, but holy carp, this was not good. 6.0 at best. Didn't feel right when we pulled up in the neighborhood, no one at check-in, but keys stapled to the wall. The room was no frills, which was fine, but even the common areas were 2-star. AC not working well was the icing on the cake. We almost left, but it was just a quick crash for the night , shower and leave early in the morning. At half the price, maybe, as that would told you exactly what the place was. "

Hotel Provence

"Warning at the end! This was a lovely hotel in the heart of a charming town. The front desk person was an angel and the manager was great. Our room was spacious, compared to others we stayed in during this trip. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning worked fine. Very nice breakfast. The hotel only had 10 parking spaces and they were all occupied. Fortunately I was able to park on the street across from the hotel because it was a Saturday night and the parking ban there was not enforced that late or in the morning. Moral of the story: Get there as early as possible so you can grab a space. However, the garage is tight so try on-street parking if your vehicle is big."

"Great view of the lake, good food and good service. Room conditions need improvement as two electrical outlets didn’t work in our room. Only outlet working was the one for the TV, They brought us an extension cord and unplugged the TV to solve the problem. Room condition and facilities are very basic but I guess that’s what we paid for. "
