Zo gastvrij zijn we nog niet vaak ontvangen. Het huis was prachtig en zelfs veel groter dan we hadden verwacht. Het heerlijke terras met het mooie uitzicht was echt genieten. "The accommodation was very spacious and very well presented. Large recently renovated kitchen with thought given to every guest requirements. Bed so comfortable, best night sleep we have had. Garden looking over sunflower field and grape vines behind the property, very private with garden furniture provided to enjoy the fabulous views. "le loueur est un homme charmant qui a des choses très intéressantes à raconter sur son amours des chevaux. Le gite est d'une propreté impeccable et dans un endroit isolé mais à un quart d'heure des courses et une demi-heure de la sous préfecture où il y a tout ce qu'on veut y compris cinéma, théâtre, manifestations festives et culturelles etc.. le hic ce sera la canicule qui ne relève pas de la responsabilité du propriétaire! Bref, excellent séjour."

"Excellent service on arrival. The staff member provided information to us on the local area and discounts we can receive for eating at their recommended restaurant. The hotel is on a retail park, on the outskirts of the town but the shops and eateries are worth a visit. The room was basic, but clean, this was expected. The shower and basin is in the bedroom which was inconvenient when other members of the family were visiting the room. Breakfast was a basic continental offering."

"We had a fantastic stay at the Hôtel de France in Bergerac and couldn't recommend it more highly. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. Special mention must go to the gentleman who checked us in — he was friendly, helpful and welcoming from the very first moment, nothing was too much trouble, and he gave us brilliant tips on the local area. It's rare to receive such a genuinely warm welcome, and it set the tone for our whole stay. The rest of the staff were equally lovely — always smiling, always happy to help, and clearly proud of their hotel. The room was comfortable and spotless, and the location is perfect for exploring Bergerac's beautiful old town, just a short stroll away. We left feeling like we'd been looked after by friends rather than staff. We'll definitely be back — thank you to the whole team, and especially to the gentleman on reception!"

"A beautiful hotel situated in an old windmill, right next to the river, with amazing views. The rooms are lovely, clean and well equipped and the shower is great. All of the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Our evening meal was wonderful, as was breakfast, with a wide and varied range of excellent, fresh products. You can wander downstairs to sit by the river, passing through a room containing the workings of the old windmill, a bit like a museum, which is really interesting. There is a huge free car park, including spaces with electric charging points."
