The village is very peaceful and quiet at night being about 20 minutes walk from the noisy and traffic congested sea front, so coming back after an evening out we appreciated our quiet site. "Lovely hotel overall, and we were pleased to be given one of the newly renovated bedrooms on the second floor. The room was spacious with a fantastic sea view, which made for a great first impression. Unfortunately, our room was interconnected, and this significantly affected our stay. We had the misfortune of very noisy neighbors returning in the early hours, and due to the connecting door, we could hear everything — conversations, showering, even toilet use. This made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep and was quite disappointing. Dinner at the main restaurant was acceptable: the service was excellent, but the food itself was fairly average and not particularly memorable. At check-out, we mentioned the issue about the noise and lack of sleep to the receptionist. While they thanked us for the feedback regarding the new rooms, nothing further was done to address our concerns, which was a bit disheartening. This hotel has great potential and could be a truly lovely place to stay. However, I would strongly recommend avoiding interconnected rooms unless you’re comfortable hearing your neighbors in detail."
