The house was amazing, well kept, spacious, and had all we needed right there. I took my family here for our thanksgiving vacation. We had three couples each with our own brand new babies, and then mom, and my young brother for a total of 8 adults and three babies. We used 5 of the 6 bedrooms. Each couple with a baby brought their own baby bed or pack-and-play and put it in their own bedrooms. Even after the baby beds were put together, the rooms had had plenty of space. The rooms had their own closets which made it convenient to throw our clothes and luggage there. The house never felt crowded even with all 8 adults plus the 3 babies.
Everything in the house worked efficiently. The electricity, the water, the gas, the air conditioner, the hot water in the sinks, in the showers, and in the bath tubs. We used the kitchen upstairs mostly, but we also used the kitchen down stairs a couple of times. Both kitchens had everything we needed in their own cabinets...I mean everything!
The views from the house are astounding, absolutely wowing! any attempt to describe it will just fall short! it is a great relaxing place for those looking to get away. There are also plenty of things to do if you like the adventure and outdoors, like hiking, kayaking, swimming, etc. In our case, I have crazy siblings who love the outdoors but my mother can't go up and down the hiking trails, so while some went for the adventure, mother enjoyed the house, the hammocks, the views, she even walked to the lagoon to enjoy the beach and watching the kids play. Thanks Mark for having what we needed!
I did not feel interrupted, nor did I feel neglected. One time the power went out, and before we realized it, Wilmer (the maintenance guy) had already turned the generator on. Wilmer was great! we never knew he was there but whenever we needed help, there he was right where you needed him! He made sure the stove and the grill always had plenty of gas, even though my mother cooked a whole bunch and used up a lot of gas. Mother can cook now!!! Also, the house is up to american standards. It has details I haven't seen in any house in Nicaragua. My wife and I were very impressed on how super clean and well kept everything was. I am planing to go back in the spring of 2016, this time I am bringing some friends. I can't wait to back!
