I had a good stay

Check in day was good. Staffs are accomodating. Room was clean and somehow fresh. Staffs at dining area were not at all friendly , kid friendly to be exact. Seems like they are lazy serving breakfast. Overall experience is good and i would still love to stay at sugbutel on my next trip to cebu.

I imagine that detention centres would, or should, be run like Sugbutel so called Family Hotel. Extremely orderly with lukewarm service personnel. Still, it was a relief for me to be able to sleep in a noise free, clean place. The only thing this place lacked was atmosphere. There is no apparent communal area, so there’s no social aspect to the place unless you’re there with family or friends. Annoyingly too, the WiFi access switches off for any and every reason. You moved. You paused. So you have to keep logging in. It’s close to a big mall, SM mall is a 5 minute walk away. And the hotel is a short taxi ride from many places of interest.

Sugbutel is near the port area of Cebu. So expect a noisy & dusty environment. As of this moment, some parts of the hotel are being renovated & not in excellent condition. The front desk people needs to improve when it comes to costumer service. Management should not hold any of your personal identification upon check in & the use of the keycard should not have a 500php deposit, it should be given for free since your booked in the said hotel. Some of the staffs are nice & respectful. Good costumer service is a must. Thank you.

Location near SM mall and walkable, but it can be very noisy at night with the buzz of ships on the dock area, quite a busy street, people on the street. Staff are nice and accommodating, there’s housekeeping everyday and new drinking bottled water. They serve set breakfast, any additional slice of ham or sausage is not allowed. My stay is just fine, the hotel is not fancy nor either a cheap hotel.. its average

객실간 소음이 심함. 복도에서 다른 손님의 소리가 너무 잘 들림. 시설은 전반적으로 깔끔하나 프론트 직원은 불친절함 . 익스페디아 에서는 무료아침식사로 포함되어 있으나 , 체크인시 아침이 포함되지않았다며 식사비를 청구함 .

Les chambres côté rue sont à fuir

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel pour sa proximité avec l'aéroport. Nous devions y séjourner une nuit avant notre départ. La façade de l'établissement est un peu particulière: grand bâtiment vert... Le personnel est souriant et avenant. Les deux chambres superior twin étaient propres, tailles moyennes, confort simple et fonctionnel. Les cloisons qui séparent les chambres des couloirs sont minces et les claquements de porte sont particulièrement audibles de l'intérieur. Mais cela n'est rien comparé au fait d'avoir des chambres côté rue (2x4 voies en plein centre, extrêment circulantes, de jour comme de nuit) avec des fenêtres en simple vitrage. On a simplement l'impression d'être au coeur de la rue: un pur délice pour dormir! Je ne conseille pas cet hôtel, ni pour dormir ni même pour le petit déjeuner (exclusivement philippin)

My fiancé is staying overnight and didn't thought of bringing toiletries since it's written with free toiletries. He was shocked that they don't have toothbrush and toothpaste offered even he is willing to pay for it.

AVOID - overpriced for what it is.

Expect nothing and still be disappointed. Room was not cleaned properly prior to my arrival. They have no sheet on the bed, just a dirty fleece blanket, with no clean sheet to cover yourself with. When asked for a sheet they told me 40php, then 50php, then told me they had none. They put my call through to a Manager but the phone rang and rang and rang. No answer, no followup. Breakfast is mediocre and badly put together. The place is SO noisy, do not expect any sleep, even with ear plugs. The doors slam and echo in the hallway, the doors have alarms on them when held open too long, sp you'll hear those alarms all night as well as disrespectful filippino tourists schlepping up and down the hallway and yelling to each other past well into the morning hours and then again before 5am. Room doesnt match photo well at all. Room smells very musty, no window in room or bathroom. Just go somewhere else.
