Near Ayala Mall and House of Lechon. Breakfast mediocre. Staff friendly but have very little knowledge about their surroundings. Rooms, bathrooms in various states. Some better, some worse.

Great stay near Ayala Mall
The room was comfy. I asked to be transferred to a new room because of a weak wifi signal. It was done swiftly and the staff was helpful. Breakfast was great, very Filipino!

Stay here 2x every year for last 8 years...January 2019 and now april 5th 2019..dirty rooms..bar area..not good..im foreign man..i always tip the same amount of bill..never again since you people automatically add 10% to the bill...better hotels near welcome hotel for same or cheaper price...not eorth staying here...

Nice hotel very close to Ayala Mall
The Wellcome Hotel is located within a 5 minute walk to Ayala Mall. The Hotel itself is aged but they are renovating and the parts that are renovated are lovely. Rooms are very clean and staff are amazingly helpful. We had a leaking shower which was very bad and they very quickly relocated us to a another room. The breakfast is more than enough and the view from the rooftop bar is beautiful to enjoy at night with a cold beer after shopping all day. Pool is only small but is perfect to cool off in.

Location is ideal for shopping staff very accommodating undergoing some renovations. Only complaint noisey air conditioning in room and had arranged via email fir airport pickup but no one showed up so just caught a taxi which ended up being much cheaper

The towels and bed sheets seems old. Found a strand of hair on the beddings upon arrival. Food is not so good but reasonable for the price we have paid. Staff were courteous and smiling.

Do yourself a favor and dont stay here. Breakfast buffet is the worst of any place i have stayed. They advertise they have a swimming pool, but fail to mention its for little kids. Its 12 feet X 12 feet, and 2 1/2 feet deep, this is no joke. False advertising. Food here is horrible.

Centurally located
Older but very clean hotel helpful polite staff, free shuttle to Ayala Mall and a great free Buffett breakfast with soft quiet live music.

Loved my stay at Wellcome
Got upgraded from standard to deluxe room, which is very spacious. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location -- just a quick walk from the main road. Ayala mall is a walking distance away, too, but free shuttle service from hotel is also available. Great city view, just make sure to note in your booking that you prefer a room with window/sunshine. There was no 2000php deposit, unlike what was written in my hotel.com booking info. When checking in, make sure to have a printout (or a screenshot or PDF copy in your phone) of your booking confirmation when you book via hotels.com or any other online booking site because the frontdesk will need to see it. Overall, loved my stay in this hotel so much!

Our first room had a electric malfunction. Electricity would shut off automatically even when the keycard was put in. We complained when we arrived, took 30 minutes for them to fix it, which involved us sitting in our beds in the dark. They said it was fixed, when we went home at 3:00 am, still wouldn't work. We had to transfer to another room, on another floor, lugging all our things, when we were already beat, at 3:30 am since they couldn't fix it. On another note, the breakfast area had a nice ambiance. My partner loved the harp music. The rooms were clean. Maybe it was just our bad luck we had a malfunctioning room.

Hotel is outdated . Room needs improvement and thorough clean so guest will not see cockroaches in the room. Front desk people needs more training and organized. Breakfast buffet can also improve and be more attractive.

Upsides - Great check-in process, Huge bed, fridge in room, buffet breakfast above average with a few different options each day, great meals in Resto, good bedside light with accessible switch, reasonable connection to wi-fi router and mostly good connection speeds. Downsides - My pet hate is service fees on menu's - please show the REAL cost. (was even worse when asked for service fee when not even mentioned on menus), hot water only luke warm, small room, noisy air con, slow check-out process.

Several days at hotel
My girl friend and her child stayed in the suite room for several nights. For check in, the front will not let them in their room early, so they had to wait for over 2 hours. Even then it was a little past their check in time before they were allowed to go in their room. The wifi connection in the room was very poor so it was very hard to communicate. The room showed their age but not bad. There were no hot water but sometimes only warm water for shower. Pool was nice. Breakfast was ok but would be nicer if they had a little more variety. Overall it was a good stay and will stay again.

The hotel itself was not too bad. Athough it mentions that breakfast was included we had to pay extra as the breakfast was only good for 2 people. Some staff were very helpful, others did not seem to care. Had to ask 3 times to get a towel. Room itself was clean and pool was probably the best feature. It's just scrapes a pass.

This hotel is way overrated. Fortunately, I booked it at a discounted price but even at the lower rate it isn't worth it. First of all, the free internet service is the worse in Cebu city. If you have online work to accomplish or even a short email to send - forget it. After numerous requests for help to improve the wifi the only reply I received was "What room are you in?" Not until I raised my voice to the front desk on my last day did I receive an hour of wifi. The hotel has an abundance of youth groups occupying the hotel. A new group showed up everyday. The noise in the hallways until late at night was very disrespectful. Hotel management didn't seem to care about the peace and quiet of the other paying guests. Very poor hot water supply. Free breakfast is below par. Worst of all, the smell of open sewer pipes at the entrance to the hotel is sickening. In conclusion, my worst hotel experience ever in Cebu city.

Not one of our favorite hotel experiences.
Front staff was very attentive. Kitchen staff lacked in a multitude of ways and had no drink making experience at all, even though they have a bar. Free breakfast was also very poor. Wifi was hideous, spent more time being frustrated then getting any work done. Even with security on hand it was clear that having 'guests' to your room was an acceptable pratice. Location was very good to the big mall, easy wall. We spent 2 nights there and should have left after 1, but didn't want the hassle of moving hotels.

Frontdesk Staff is unable to solve Problems or complains! Regarding Housekeeping and cleaning the room! It takes every day 3 phone call to the Frondesk until one is coming to clean up the room! If I ´will not show up at the Frontdesk personal my room will not be cleaned on the same day! Hotel was not fully booked! Until 4.30 pm nobody was able to clean the room even the note "Please clean up my room" what I start at 7.00 am ! I also inform a view times direct the Roomgirls, but without any result! 3 Star Hotel with 1 Star Service!!!!!
