"Room was recently renovated and very clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Beach chairs, cooler and wagons were provided for trips to the beach. We requested late check out and staff was happy to accommodate us."

"For almost 74 years, I have looked for a place such as this! From the moment you arrive, you feel as if you have come home. The cottage itself is so warm and inviting it feels as if you have found a mixture of a convenient modern home and your grandma's house. The touches of Brenda's childhood home plus every amenity you could imagine make this such a wonderful and unique stay. Then step out the back door into paradise...a deck that is mere feet from the water, views that cannot be beat, a dock extending into the sound with a covered area and a swing on the end AND an enclosed fenced area for your furbabies! Richard is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and so concerned that everything is to your liking, even loaning this "old woman" a crab trap to try my hand at it and offering to let us leave with a refund when the power went out temporarily. Of course, we would have had to be blasted out of the place! Seriously, this is the very best rental we have ever done through VRBO. While still there, we booked another visit in May! Thank you, Richard and Brenda, for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home!!"

"The people that run the lodge were so helpful! We were going to be later coming in and had to leave early the next morning so we weren’t going to be able to visit the shops and I was really disappointed because I wanted an Ocracoke souvenir - the wonderful woman working that day arranged for someone from a local shop to work with me to choose a coffee cup via text pictures and the coffee cup was delivered to our room and was waiting for us when we arrived- just amazing personal service!!! The lodge was so cute and quaint and there were even real keys to open the hotel room door! So charming! Would stay here again!"

"The room was very clean. The hosts went above and beyond to accommodate any needs and make our stay a pleasant experience. A beautiful table was set for breakfast and it did not disappoint. It was delicious! I highly recommend staying in this property."

"The outlets in the loft only work if the light is on so you are unable to use the fan/charge phones etc. unless the lights are on. I would recommend bringing a battery powered fan it can get quite hot up there at night even with the AC on. Overall good experience!"

"We loved this inn, it was so cute! We had room 109, I believe, and we had our own personal parking spot right by our room. The views are beautiful and we would definitely stay there again!"
