Forest Park Hotel

2/10 Terrible

"Jasper is a very cute town but this hotel made our entire stay a disappointment. As soon as I got there, they didn’t have any accommodation for my parents who can’t walk long distances. Even though we got first floor, they had to take 2 flight of stairs because of construction. I didn’t care much about the amenities being closed but they gave us rooms in front of Danger sign which had constant noise going on throughout our stay. When asked for help at Front Desk, they blamed on each other instead of helping us out! Rooms itself had very distinct chemical smell. Our lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner - EVERYTHING WAS EMPTY! had to get out in middle of shower and my towels were leaving white stains on my body and hair. Turns out, we had same problems in all 3 rooms!!! Our ACs stopped working in the middle of the night. It was sooo frustrating!! The fact that I paid $200 PER ROOM PER NIGHT, is insane to me. The rooms & service were not worth the money at all! Honestly ruined our entire experience."

"Very clean and spacious. I stayed in a Tower room suite. Everything you need for a short or longer stay. It was nice to have a balcony to enjoy some nice evening air. Great for business travellers as well. Conveniently located desk with usb ports and power easily accessible for your laptop. Very comfortable bed. 2 restaurants on site, Denny’s and Chop Steak house which is delicious. Room service available only from Denny’s even though website gives you an option to view their room service menu for Chop. They will do takeout however. You can’t hear any outside noise when the windows are closed. I do keep the fan on for sleeping."

"Front desk staff assigned me a room and I walked in and it was occupied by someone. I went back down and the staff member was trying to get me into a room with no towels and wouldn't have any towels till 8:00AM the next morning. I refused and he magically found another room that had towels. This room was not terrible but not good either...shoddy workmanship, exposed pipes and drywall. Toiletpaper holder was about 5 feet from the toilet....you had to reach. I am medium height...a short person or child would not be able to reach toilet paper. The whole building screams shoddy design and structure. Would not stay there again."
