"Watch out for your time of departure on your last day, we were hoping for a lie in after some hard skiing and a leisurely breakfast before heading off but the snowmobile transfer back to village is not allowed to run between 9am and 5pm. It is not practical to take bulky luggage, skis, etc on chairlift so we had to get up early enough to catch the snowmobile. This was a very minor inconvenience and certainly would not stop me returning"

"2 min walk to free bus, or 5mins walk to nearest lift. The Gran Trun is perfect as a base for your ski holiday. The rooms are reasonably comfortable and cleaned every day. The breakfast is buffet style eat as much as you like. The bar is open for the afternoon and evening, run by the lovely Sarah who is an excellent host. "We thought this hotel was a good value for money. The location and breakfasts were excellent and the room clean. Our family room was not over the bar and only one night was there significant noise. The service was friendly. There were some hot water issues when we were there, with the shower temperature varying greatly. "This is a simple but cosy hotel in a nice location at the top of the old town of Bardonecchia. The quadruple room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, plenty of storage, a clean and functional bathroom. Parking on site and even a small playground for the younger kids as well as the garden. Breakfast buffet was also good. Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay, just what we needed at the end of our holiday."
