“Before I review the hotel proper let me just say Lamego is a really cool town and this hotel is an upscale place from which to explore it. The staff were excellent. Everyone we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy and parking was in a secure underground parking area. The restaurant is nice but I would recommend going out - there are better choices in town. The pool, hot tub, steam room and dry sauna are great! Clean and functioning. My girlfriend got a spa……

“This was one of our favorite places we stayed in Portugal. The hotel was extremely charming with excellent staff. It’s located within the castle walls and near the entrance of the castle, which is open 24/7. The hot tub area is by reservation only (no charge), so me and my husband drank wine and watched sunset all by ourselves. They also provide thick robes in the bedrooms for this. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of options to choose from: meats, cheeses, cereal, fresh pastries, fruit and more.……
