Nice hotel very close to the Mount Akadake cable car. Location is gorgeous, in the Sounkyo gorge area. The onsens look out onto the mountains and offer a spectacular view.
The hotel itself is nice - albeit a bit tired and old. Could do with some modernisation - but helpful and friendly staff and gorgeous location make up for it.

Overall, very good stay, especially the free ice-cream and teas in the evening from 7-9pm. Located in an excellent location too.
