Location, incredibly hospitable and efficient staff from top to bottom, cleanliness, food and drink, etc. Will definitely be back upon it's re-opening in April.
The ONLY negative is the fact that there is no aircon in the building. It's southerly facing aspect can't help either in this respect. I heard from the staff that 35° in the summer were quite uncomfortable. Yes I know each room...
「The room has lovely sea views but the carpet is heavily stained and the decor generally quite tired. The room was also incredibly hot despite being offered a fan by the helpful staff. It is a great hindrance that the windows cannot be opened more than a few inches.
For a hotel of this reputation and in this price range, air conditioning should be incorporated throughout.
