Passing through Chard from holiday in Sidmouth. When asked directions in Fore Street the lady we asked (Marian) told us her husband's parents had lived there & there was an egg packing station at the rear of the property.

We cannot fault this hotel. The staff were attentive, polite and helpful. The room was well lit, adequate power sockets and overlooked Broad Street. Set in beautiful surroundings with lots of walks on your doorstep and two local dog friendly pubs that serve food. Chard looked fine, we didn't spend much time there though, we were visiting other attractions.
Chard has many shops, pubs & take- aways. Really handy for visiting surrounding areas such as llminster another pretty village with shops , places to eat & drink etc.
The local museum is worth a visit on the main street. Staff are very knowledgeable. Lots of amenities nearby. bars, restaurants, cafes, shops etc...
Just that it was a pleasure to stay there a querky building just off the high street with ample parking at the back of the building
All aspects of this hotel are to a high "flagship" quality.
