Very disappointed in our stay here. The one star is for the good location and view. I have never left a negative review for a rental property until today. We arrived with the temperature in the condo to be 79° when it was set for 72°. Our first 24 hours in this unit we had no air conditioning and it stayed between 80 to 81°. In hindsight, I see this is a common issue in reviews dating back to 2022. The maintenance team came out several times and offered a temporary fix but within an hour of them leaving the temperature was back up into the high 70s to 80s. They eventually provided one window unit which they installed in the living room, where our child was staying but our bedroom remained hot for the remainder of the stay. Long story short, we asked for a refund of our first night because we had no air conditioning at all and it was miserable. We were denied that because the maintenance team told the property management company that we had the unit off and the doors open each time they came, implying that it was our fault. This was 100% false. We had the unit off only once when they came the first time because it was blowing hot air and was 81° in the condo. Each time they came after that we had the unit on to demonstrate to them that the AC was blowing warm air. So it’s our word against theirs and they sided with the maintenance team. Whatever you do, I would caution you to avoid this condo and please look for one of the other hundreds of units to stay in on Folly Beach.
