Beautiful home and location

Home is beautiful was greeted with a small welcome gift -thank you! Home has plenty of room for people to have their space. Kitchen had necessities in cooking supplies but would be nice to supply a few essentials like EVOO and S & P for future guests traveling. Home is a very short walk to beach and 3-4 blocks to the Folly action. We didn’t use the pool due to cool weather but be aware you can’t see pool while in house except from one window in master. It is nice and has a decent area for kids to run and play. Management was very easy to deal with when we had to move our stay a day later. Nice short stay for us!!!!

Family Beach Vacation at this property. Great location and had a pool. Pool was dirty despite a visit from pool maintenance. Main floor of home was HOT. A/C issues, unfortunately, were not fixed during our stay. Property managers did refund one night as we cut trip short due to the problem.

Wonderful property nestled in one block off the ocean and just down the road from the all the action in Folly. We ranged from 2 years old to ... well over 2 years old, and everyone had a fantastic time. The house was perfect with lots of space and a pool in back after a good day on the beach. We will be back!

The heat in the first floor of the house was broken when we arrived. The first morning we were there a technician showed up without notice to fix it and I had to miss half a day at the beach to wait there while he worked. The heat worked briefly after that but then broke again. The temperature dropped outside and all we were given was a tiny space heater that barely kept your toes warm. I had to wait around for a technician again later in the week, again not warned about arrival time, and this time was told flat out that it couldn't be fixed until after we left. I was never offered any kind of compensation for the trouble and I will never use this company again.

Beach vacation

My friends and I stayed at this property for my bachelorette get away. It was such a beautiful spacious house - plenty of beds, bathrooms, hangout space, etc. The pool area and front porches were our favorite places to relax and hangout. Its a two minute walk to the beach and about a 5-10 minute walk to the market, restaurant/bars, and shopping. Everything you need is right there! Hoping to come back soon!

Great house close to the beach and to town!

We had a great stay at the Oasis, celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday. It was large enough to accommodate 8 adults without everyone feeling like they were on top of each other. The pool was great as we used it every afternoon when the wind picked up on the beach. It’s a close walk to the beach, my 76 year old in-laws had no trouble getting to and from and we even walked the 4 blocks to town for dinner 2 of the evenings. The house had everything we needed and it was very comfortable, we all felt right at home.

Some Issues

House is gorgeous and has a great location. We paid extra to heat the pool but each day the heater wasn’t working so that was refunded. And the concierge texting service they have to communicate with the property manager is clearly monitored but a rotation of people who don’t communicate with each other which cause confusion and for requests/issues to fall through the cracks.

The property has a great floorplan and location close to the beach. E Ashley is a main cross street and busy, but closed windows insulate the noise. Plentiful towels and linens. Adequate kitchen equipment. The property needs maintenance - there were incomplete repairs for water leaks, porches were grimy and the grill was unusable.

Our Seashell House

My family and I had such an amazing stay at this house. My three year old calls it our seashell house, which is so cute! The house is deceptively close to the beach, which is amazing with three kiddos and all of the stuff to lug around. The pool was perfect, especially with the heat option since our stay was in October. There are a lot of stairs, but totally worth it! Everything was cleaned to the max and we felt very comfortable there even in these trying times. We will be booking this house again in the Spring and we cant wait! Also, the property manager was amazing and willing to help at all hours! Thank you so much!

Great house, some minor issues

The house looked just like the pictures. It was clean and well maintained. Any issues we had were addressed immediately (the only issue was the pool just looked like it needed more chlorine). The staff was very responsive to any texts that were sent. The only issue with the house itself was the flickering lights and the main floor was super hot despite being set at the lowest allowable setting of 70. Otherwise, we loved our stay!

Great location!

Overall my family and I had a great time staying here. The house was in an EXCELLENT location and walking distance to the beach, several restaurants, and bars. The house had all kitchen necessities which was very nice and came with a starter kit like toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, etc. Additionally, the rental company went above and beyond with communicating and was very easy to get in touch with and responded quickly. The rental company was so NICE!! Like I want to be their friend bc they seemed so sweet LOL jk but you get my point. However, the house itself is definitely not deserving of 5 stars. The quality of the linens were below average for the sheets and towels. The towels were so bad we went out and purchased new towels. The beds were uncomfortable. The electricity also had some issues maybe due to being an older house. If a dishwasher or laundry was running lighting in the dining room and kitchen would flicker on and off. Despite that I would definitely come back again in the summertime!

Beautiful home but showing some signs of wear

We reserved this home for our first Thanksgiving in South Carolina. Our experience at this home was mixed, and thus this review. The home was billed as a luxury retreat close to beach on Folly. Clearly the home is beautiful and has easy access to the beach but is showing some signs of wear. The carpet coming into the home is somewhat soiled as is the rug at the top of the landing. We have stayed in other rentals and in comparison here, found the stocking of items like paper towel, soap, [no dishwashing soap for the dishwasher] and the world's tiniest kitchen sponge [looked like they had cut a regular-sized sponge into quarter sizes], and dregs of laundry soap left in the bottle, as disconsonant with the concept of "luxury," Likewise, we found that instead of being ready to light the gas fireplace, after trouble-shooting it, that we had to insert new batteries [we purchased] for the starter. Little things like that made the overall experience at Thanksgiving feel less than gracious. As for maintenance, we called because the washing machine didn't at first work [unless you lean on the door, we learned] came out on Thanksgiving, and for that we commend them. All in all, I would say that it would be a great place for a group in the summer--but be forewarned that the elevator isn't for guests and the trek to the third floor with luggage is a long one. It would be a challenging place for young children or the elderly. It is a beautiful place, just not quite up to expectations.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Oasis during the holidays. Donna met us with a gift of local snacks and got us oriented with the home and entry codes, etc. She also responded quickly to any concerns we had (like not being able to get the remotes to the garage/gate to work.) What a wonderful home and yard! The remote controlled gate at the back entrance gave us a sense of security and privacy. There was more than ample parking between the front circular drive and the double parking under the house. The pool area is very pleasant and nicely landscaped. The pictures do not do this home justice. There is a feeling of spaciousness due to the wide stairwells and the roomy landings on both the second and third levels. The ocean can be heard from the porches on the upper levels which were a wonderful place to sit and drink coffee in the mornings. Bedrooms are well-appointed and spacious. We had more than enough towels! The kitchen and dining area are large enough to move easily between without getting in one another's way. The only thing that might have made this house more perfectly suited for our crowd would be an additional shower, but we loved everything else about it enough to stay here again. This was our first trip to Folly Beach though we have been to the Charleston area many times. We loved the proximity of this eclectic beach area to the great restaurants and historic sights in nearby Charleston. We were traveling during the holidays but can't wait to return for a summer family beach trip. Oh...we did have a little issue with low water pressure upstairs while the tub was filling in the master bath. It was not a huge issue for us...just something to be aware of.

This is a beautiful property about 1-2 blocks from sitting on the beach. Amazing backyard with pool. Could have been cleaner, ceiling fans and porches. More porch furniture for dining (only 2 chairs for table). Needs new washer, moldy.
