Fantastic!

The perfect location and accommodations! We didn’t have to get in our car once as everything you need is within walking distance. It fit our family of 14 so comfortably and you can’t get better than this!

Great stay over all!

We had a great stay at this house. The overall experience was awesome and the house was clean and more than accommodating for our group. The only negative is the check in time that I wish we were able to get into the house prior to 4pm.

Couldn’t have been a better house!

Was there for my friends bachelorette party and wow!!! The bars are walking distance a long with shops and coffee shops. Grocery stores are super close and could walk to them if wanted to. The pictures online for this house do not do it justice. It’s even more big and beautiful in person! Only confusing part was trying to work the elevator. 12/10 and would definitely stay here again!!

Vacation

Loved the home! Bests were very comfortable, plenty of room, close to restaurants, very clean, and the pool was partially heated during our time there (must have been from previous renters) and it felt amazing! Only downside was all the stairs. The first floor is two bedrooms with the wash/dryer but the stair layout is weird so it was a ton of stairs just to walk into the home to the living room. Wonderful stay though!

Family Reunion Vacation

Reviewer Comments: Eight older couples+ spent a week at this rental and generally thought the place was very comfortable, spacious and well suited to our needs. The open dining and living areas allowed us all to be together without being cramped. The multiple refrigerators and dishwashers, as well as the bar area with icemaker were definite pluses. There were a few areas that could use some TLC by the owners; beaters but no mixer, rear gate latch is old and finicky, the accordion door in the elevator could be a bit easier to close (kudos on the elevator though!), and the $10 two-slot toaster for a house that sleeps 18 has to go. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there and had a great time!

Even got texts while at the house to make sure everything was going ok. The beach was an easy walk from the house. Adults could walk to bars. The kids could walk to ice cream. The large table and open living space to include the porch was a great space for all 19 of us to be together for meals. Private bath with each room was very nice for our multi family group.

There were a few issues. 1st the elevator never worked. 2nd we called about the pool being an opaque green color (unlike our neighbors' pools) and it wasn't addressed for 3 days. We didn't use it because it was too funky. 3rd the fire alarm went off the last night about a dozen times. Very little sleep before our return drives.

1002 Carolina Blvd Vacation!

We have stayed here before and the location is wonderful, house layout is perfect for our large family gathering, and the rental company was very easy to work with. Only negative comment I would make is that there used to be two single beds in one of the downstairs bedrooms that they replaced with a very uncomfortable pull out sleep sofa. We literally used 5 comforters to put on top of the mattress so children could sleep on it. I would HIGHLY recommend replacing or putting beds back in the room. Otherwise, another amazing Isle of Palms trip!

Nice layout but disappointing stay overall

The number and size of bedrooms and bathrooms were great and they were clean. The layout of the family room and kitchen are also really good. The negatives- 1) arrived to find 2 broken toilet seats; 2) towels, tissue, household items were very sparse; 3) stairs are extremely loud and need to be redone. If members of your party keep different hours this is an issue; 4) CO detector kept going off at night and management was so slow to respond we had to call the fire department; 5) a gas smell was apparent in family room and the fire Marshall stated that the tankless water heaters were not being properly maintained; 6) the bars and restaurants on the backside of the house are very loud at night- this is more problematic for some dooms; 7) there is a sign that warns that AC should not be set at less than 70 degrees. That’s crazy for the prices being paid. In addition the “hotel bedding” used by the host does not breathe which makes the temperature at nights feel even hotter. Very dissatisfied with the value for the price paid.

Lights on porch on first floor needs to be replaced.( not working). I need to make sure that the pool is clean before the rentals get there.. Once Again, A Great Week at 1002

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is a great spot for a large family vacation. It is beautiful, spacious, and very well kept and clean. It is located near all of the attractions of IOP. You just walk out the back gate and you are within a block or two of all of the restaurants and stores. It is also just a couple of blocks from a beach access. A typical day for us was to go to the beach, come back to the house to relax by the pool. We would later head to one of the great restaurants for supper. All of this would be accomplished without getting into a car. The management was great and responded quickly when any problem arose. We had two minor problems and both were resolved within a couple of hours.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall a good experience! We needed a large house, bath with each bedroom, and house fit that bill perfectly! Great location! Beach was an easy walk. Restaurants and grocery close by. Enjoyed our visits to Charleston and Mount Pleasant. So many things to do in this area. There were a couple issues - Elevator wasn't working when we arrived and that was a big factor in selecting this home with 3 stories; someone should check before each visit; rental ofc was responsive and got the problem fixed on day 2. In a house this large, at this price, with room for several people, it would be better to have a few more basic supplies at house - towels, dish detergent, dish cloths, toilet paper, garbage bags, etc; and that could be fixed easily. Recycle bins were full when we got there, and we figured out the pick-up schedule, but a few more instructions on that process would be helpful. Other than elevator, I'd say that was minor stuff, easily fixed. We loved being able to stay together in one house, and I would consider renting through Island Realty again. It was a definite plus to have the rental management office close. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and responsive to our needs and questions.
