My friends and I are graduates from Darden and wanted to return back to Charlottesville for a fun weekend. This property was perfect - location was ideal right on the downtown mall, the space was very comfortable, and everything was as we had hoped it would be. Highly recommend!

Great location, annd Clean! Carrying keys the entire trip is a little bit of a pain though not sure why the electronic lock at the door cannot be utilized for guests. We still had a great time in Charlottesville!!

The perfect downtown condo

Beautiful two bedroom condo situated above a wonderful Indian restaurant near one end of the Cville walkable mall.The beds are cloud-like soft, the ceilings high and the kitchen is vintage, combining to create a fun and wonderful atmosphere for whoever stays on the property.Located within nlocks of restaurants, bars, shopping and events, this was the prrfect place to spend a week visiting friends and family.

Big City Connection w/ Close by Natural Wonder

The apartment has been maintained very well. All was provided for the stay to be even more comfortable than expected. The location is right above the Charlottsville mall so you are always close to wonderful restaurants and feel connected to the local community. Also, an incredible coffee shop (LoneLight directly across the street from the entrance to the apartment. It is also a fairly quick trip to visit incredible sites like Monticello, local vineyards, and Skyline Drive. I would very much recommend staying here.

Great location

Location was great. Owner/ management company very responsive. Plenty of room for two couples or a small family. Trash from the group before us and some concerns with cleanliness of the bathroom. Curtain rod was broken in the downstairs bedroom leading to early morning sunshine. Overall, a good experience would likely stay here again if those things were addressed.

Downtown Apartment

This apartment was conveniently located downtown Charlottesville within walking distance of most all the restaurants and places we wanted to visit which was a huge perk. Property manager was very quick to help on the weekend when we had an issue with the lockbox, which they replaced before we left. Apartment was very clean and as advertised; only downside was the noise from the neighbors after midnight. Highly recommend!

Right on the Mall

The apartment was very nice, clean, comfortable and wonderfully located...right on the Mall. The property manager was also very responsive when I was a bit confused about how to enter through the very good security. My only recommendation to future travelers would be to bring Nespresso pods. The apartment has a great Nespresso machine, though pods are hard to come by. However, there are very good coffee shops in the immediate area. Our thanks to the host. It was just what we needed.

Clean & accurate

Property was very clean, decorated simply but nicely, & pictures accurate. Kitchen had basic spices & things needed to cook a meal. Location was great being right on the outdoor mall, with a window & upstairs balcony overlooking it. Not sure if it was because we were there during a common spring break week, but lots of the stores/restaurants were closed or closed earlier than expected, so the mall was disappointing. Note that it is a 2nd floor walk-up, with an additional 18-20 stairs between the 1st & 2nd floors of the unit. Only recommendations would be to finish putting curtains on all the windows & provide a trash can in the kitchen/living area.

Location is the seller here

If you’re one concern is being as close to the restaurants, bars, and downtown mall, look no further. If your concerns are property cleanliness and a quiet environment, look elsewhere. The Gatsby is a large and old unit just off the downtown mall on 4th street. The property is feeling its age with rusting windows, a front door that has seen better days, and squeaky bed frames that “could” keep you up at night. Additionally, the restaurant below the unit blares club music until at least midnight each night. The unit was far from clean with dirty floors, hairs on the towels, and not enough soap for a 3 night stay. Given the price, I think you can find better honestly. 4 stars being propped up by the location and size.

Not worth the price tag

The apartment was clean and close to restaurants/shopping area. The deck area was not clean and as pictured. It is located on top of restaurant so there is a consistent smell of curry inside the apartment and on deck. There is a significant homeless population. At night they use store fronts as camps and it gets pretty interesting at night time. They were several loud arguments amongst them, the police had to come one of the nights.
