The Sonata Inn

8/10 Good
The hotel is located at the heart of the city. There is free parking beside the inn. The rooms are pretty new and clean and is quite comfortable. The only complaint I have is the shower head pressure which is a bit weak. Other than that, this is a very nice accommodation. Continental breakfast is provided, with the usual choice of cereals and bread/pastry. You are also offered a hot egg. Nothing too fancy. There is a laundry room in the basement, with one laundry machine and one dryer. ...

10/10 Excellent
Fairholm was exactly the right match for charming Charlottetown. Like the city itself, Fairholm offered a slice of the past--tangible in the room with period furniture, antique lighting, original fireplace mantel and a wealth of other details that we appreciated (including a clock that looked like it may come to life, straight out of Beauty and the Beast). We met various members of the family that owned and personally ran the hotel; at check in, at breakfast and at different times of the day....
