Expedia let us make reservations several months ago for Super Bowl Weekend but did not coordinate with the owners of Newfound Lodge as the hotel was closed for the season. Expedia should not be making reservations for a hotel that is closed and also should let customers know that it wasn’t going to be open. I don’t blame Newfound Lodge but this needs to be fixed!

The room was freezing, sheets where stiff from it so cold, no ice box but It didn't matter because the ice machine didn't work. Toilet run and was tore up, no hot water, to take a shower it was hot water nozel turned on and barely warm. Only one garbage can in the whole room including bathroom. Only a few stations on the little tv, nothing to watch. Little refrigerator wasnt cold at all and not capable of holding or keeping drinks in it. Heater was turned on immediately and we left to go eat and when we came back the room was still freezing and was on high heat. 12 hrs later the little heater finaly clicked off. This was the worst place i believe i could have picked to stay in cherokee NC.

Nice view from balcony rooms are clean, only two problems, no decent chairs to sit in and the toilet is extremely low. Other than that, it was a good place to stay.

Yes and yes room was not cleaned it wasn't at all like the pictures showed and the staff was rude, the place was desolate very old motel 1941old we even checked out a day earlier then we were booked forjust wasnt a very feel good place
