Lake Michigan. Path off Trail 9 at one place leads right to the lake. Peaceful to just stand and watch and listen to the waves as they crash to the shore. Trail 9 is the trail to hike if one wants to see the most in the shortest time. Great views throughout the trail. The trail is over 3 miles long and is considered a moderate trail. But certainly worth it. One gets to hike through forest, dunes, and other natural environments and see such a variety of sights.

“We came here for a three day weekend, little family getaway. There were 12 of us, five adults and seven children, ranging from age 4 to 16. We all had a great time! The swanky bar and the garage game room were the hotspots. There were plenty of fun activities for everyone to do! We all loved all of the retro amenities, from the popcorn maker, record player to the jukebox and everything in between We had a few issues with the hot tub, but the hosts were readily available to help with it. “This place has a beautiful view over housetops of the lake. Lots of seating on two decks for the view. Plenty of parking.The house accommodated our group of 15, with spaces to eat, put together a puzzle, play board games and be in the same area. A short walk to the beach. The host answered our questions quickly before arrival. The place is older but clean. The kitchen was supplied with nice pans and basic dishes.”
