" We had a truly memorable stay at Château de Maubreuil. We stayed in the Venice room, which was absolutely spectacular — incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful touches like a complimentary bottle of champagne and nightly turndown service with sweets. The staff were exceptional — nothing was too much trouble — and we were even granted a late checkout. Dinner at the restaurant was a highlight: decadent, elegant, and delicious. The bar was equally impressive, with fantastic cocktails in a beautiful setting. The château grounds are stunning — you could easily spend hours wandering and relaxing. We did wish we had visited in summer to enjoy the pool, and it was a bit disappointing to learn that the spa is no longer operating — we would have loved to use those amenities. Also, while the food was exquisite, it was quite rich — more casual dining options would have been a welcome addition for longer stays. It’s worth noting that the château isn’t close to central Nantes, so we ended up spending quite a bit on taxis — but we were aware of this going in. Overall, this is a very, very special place — elegant, peaceful, and indulgent. We’d return in a heartbeat. "

"A lovely quiet setting and very friendly and efficient staff. We arrived after a 7 hour drive and we're pleased with the ambience and efficiency at the hotel. The rooms are large with lovely bathroom including a standalone shower and a bath! The bar terrace was very relaxing and the restaurant was light and airy with a terrace for the hotter evenings. The food was delicious and presented very well, breakfast was 18€per person but there was everything you could want from hot dishes to pancakes an excellent way to start the day. We did not use any spa facilities but they did look good. If you need a quiet spot when visiting Nantes this is perfect and only 10 minutes away from the large shopping centre Atlantis. "

"The staff was friendly and helpful but the room was not clean. There were tiny gnats dead in front of the window and in the bathroom. The room was also a bit dusty, as if it hadn't been opened / aired for a while. "

"Just a one night stay but we have stayed there in the past. Very quiet and near the river. Walks nearby. None of the companies restaurants were open as it was a Monday stop over and difficulties experienced in finding anything in the area although the hotel will arrange to bring food in and supplied by outside caterers. Excellent breakfast."
