Very nice, well-maintained property. Place was clean, quiet, had convenient parking, and was walkable to town. Lake access with equipment, onsite bar/restaurant and a private patio made it top notch. Would recommend.

The staff were amazing! The view and the food by the bar/palapa was spectacular. The room was very clean, I personally found the bed mattress a bit hard but otherwise the room was perfect. Location was perfectly away from hustle and bustle of town but close enough drive to access all the fun bars and restaurants.

Great place, has it all.

Everything you need in one place. Clean rooms, great service. Bar staff was amazing (moises). They just need better wifi but then maybe it was a blessing to not be connected.

Really pleasant hotel on a prime location on the lake with kayaks and paddle boards available to guests which is key. Staff are also very pleasant and helpful.

This hotel is a gem!

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Carolina Bacalar. We could not have wished for a more beautiful hotel in a beautiful place like Bacalar. Both the lake and the hotel , wich is directly on the lake shore, are worth the trip south. The pictures of Hotel Carolina Bacalar exeed the expectations. The bearkfast options, food drinks and service are great too. The pool might come across a bit small but the lake fully compensates for this. We only spend 2 nights in Bacalar, I wish we would have stayed a day or two longer in Bacalar and Hotel Carolina. The only point of attation we have is the showerhead.

Even though on the water, it is a nice part and it is the very soft muddy smelly soil. Also not value for money at all. Breakfast is stingy. You get either a coffee or a juice (and terrible at that). We stayed in a more expensive hotel 2 nights prior (£50 more a night but beautiful and impeccable service) and by the time you spend extra on breakfast it is the same price! I only didn’t cancel Carolina due to the waterfront! What a mistake! Not worth staying there. Spend your money on a better hotel. You will be going to ‘beach clubs’, restaurants on the water front anyway so….. the only saving grace was the lovely young lady who checked us in and that the rooms were clean.

Están muy bonitas las instalaciones, limpias, excelente para relajarse. La comida está deliciosa. Incluye el uso de cayak o pádel board, excelente para ver el amanecer, los peces y la laguna. Todas las habitaciones tienen su mesita, sillas y hamaca privada, con room service.

Carolina es el hotel ideal para ir a descansar con familia, pareja o amigos, tienes incluidas actividades que en otros lugares contratas por fuera, la comida y bebidas del restaurante son deliciosas, el hospedaje hermoso, combinan lo rústico con lujo. Lo que más destacó es la calidad de las personas que trabajan ahí, todos muy amables, serviciales, atentos, te dan muchos tips de qué hacer o datos curiosos de los alrededores, regresaría porque el servicio fue increíble!

Todo excelente Solamente que teníamos la impresión que los destinos estaban muy buenos y tuvimos la mala suerte de pedir cremas de pollo las cuales comparadas con nuestra visita anterior en marzo del 2024 nada que ver antes venía con pollo a la plancha , queso una salsa muy rica y ahora vienen muy chicas y con una ensalada de pollo desherbado no nos gustaron
