"Wow!! What can I say? What a beautiful charming B&B. I have to admit, I was curious/concerned about such an old facility but given the recent renovation/remodel, job well done. Everything has been updated, (fixtures, windows, etc). The owner is extremely welcoming and accomodating. Not a day goes by, now that we're home, that we miss waking up at Le Clocher de la Duchesse. "The good things: the property itself is very lovely and the apartment was as well. Big windows that opened up, Very clean and looks to be quite new. The top floor patio and breakfast area presented the most lovely views, and in the distance you could see the Eiffel Tower. A brand new metro station is literally at your doorstep, which was excellent! … because The not so good things.: there were no restaurants or grocery shops nearby. The afternoon we arrived we inquired where we could find a restaurant for our supper. There was one about an 18 minute walk away so of course that’s where we went. So the metro was our friend and once we would leave for the day usually by 9:30 to have a bite to eat, we would not come back until after our dinner. They did have a buffet breakfast every morning for €15 but if you don’t do a big breakfast you couldn’t just have a croissant and a cup of coffee. you also couldn’t have breakfast unless you’d made a reservation the day before, which no one had told us. There was no coffee machine in the apartment, just a kettle, some sleeves of instant coffee & teabags. So as a tourist, it wasn’t what we were used to. We are used to stepping out and within a block or so finding various coffee shops, restaurants and little Food markets. So for that reason, I wouldn’t stay there again. But it was a very nice accommodation."

"It was an overall good stay. The main downfall really was the fact that the whole hallway where my room was located was being decorated the whole time. And things where piled up where the fitness centre was so I didn't realise where it was till I asked. And considering I was on the 7th floor I expected there to be some kind of safety measures on the windows such as a safety net or the cord that limit how much the windows opens. But to end on a positive the room was really clean, the staff were very helpful. And its very local and easy to get to different places."
