Love love love this property. As a solo female traveler it was the best. The room itself is super cute with lots of manga and anime cartoon books. I had a large wrap around corner balcony with a couch and lantern lights for the night time. My only complaint was mosquitos getting in the room so just make sure to buy bug spray from 711. I didn’t even see the pool till the last day and the bartender at the front of the hotel would come attend me in the back of the hotel at the pool for drinks as needed. So accommodating and very nice touch. This hotel has a dispensary across the street with great weed and edibles, there’s a nail salon at the corner, 711 with atms in walking distance, and the best part…. The street markets every night. I ate out every day for as little as $10 USD. Great property

Outdated keys, need to switch to cards as carrying that key tag not the most ideal when I want to travel through town light. Need to upgrade wifi it’s unusable. The shower is nice high pressure, the tv is useless. Pool is nice , bed is firm but not bad. Never had room cleaned, which is fine. Location is a bit out of the way but still in walkable range to anything. staff helpful but not overly joyful.laundry service next door very nice. Overall the stay was nice, good not great. Thank you again

I had booked a taxi with the hotel and when I arrived at the airport, the taxi was not there. I ended up calling them and nobody seemed to know anything about my reservation. I ended up having to wait over 15 minutes to get a ride to the hotel. Kind of a waste of time and money. It would have been easier and cheaper for me to get a taxi on my own. When I mentioned it to the girls at the front desk, they thought that I hadn't given my flight information but I had. It is required when you make the booking for the taxi. Once I got checked into my room, I noticed that there was information in the room saying there was a happy hour. When I went downstairs to inquire, I was told that the information in the room was outdated. I never did have hot water when I took a shower. It was just above lukewarm at best. The location was great, within walking distance of many attractions and shops and restaurants.

Good affordable hotel not too far from the city center. It is a slight walk maybe 7 min to tha pae gate. Staff was friendly and the rooms were relatively clean. You can tell it was an older building but not too bad. There’s a laundry service right next door (very convenient) and they give you free water bottles everyday after cleaning the room! Would recommend if you are on a budget.

Overall a beautiful hotel and room. Our only complaints were the airconditioning, which is connected to your room key. So the room got very hot when out and about. Also the bathroom needs more light. The bed was great, pool lovely, and there was complimentary drinking water. Also a very good location.

Staff friendly n helpful, really nice place including the pool n bar food in front with nice music. The shower was spraying from everywhere but to be fair I forgot to tell them it was noisy from above room during the night 1am seamed dragging chairs or something I did call reception to call them n both night 2nd night it started around 11 but it stop when I yelled " you got to be kidding" other then that it was very quiet! Still a great place n value for money! Just luck of the draw who is above you!

This is a beautiful hotel in a great spot. Unique and scenic architecture, close enough to the old city to be hassle-free, but far enough out to be pretty relaxed. Good breakfast, good pool, funny selection of vintage manga throughout the building. Wi-fi is not WFH standard but works pretty well otherwise.

A couple of gripes but still good value
In a great location near the city centre. Nice little swimming pool. Just a slight smell coming up from the shower drain from time to time. Also the air conditioning unit was quite noisy. Despite this still a nice hotel and excellent value

I gave this place a second chance after leaving a two star review a couple weeks prior. The second room I got had a dingy shower as well, there was a splash of blood on the wall, and just had a smell that was off. Apparently they don’t have any rooms with balconies that aren’t right next to the lift that you can hear all day and night. The staff, except for what seems like the manager, were all very friendly and helpful. I paid for a room with a balcony which is more expensive, and when they switched me to a room without a balcony that is less, prior to my arrival and per my request to not be next to the lift, they told me that I still had to pay for the more expensive room. I had to bargain with them to give me a ride to the train station to make up for the extra cost. I really had to push them for that bargain.

Severely outdated rooms, requires brand new beds and bedding, air con needs a professional cleaning, tv is better than most carries a couple American language networks. Ok for a couple nights to crash.

I found this charming little hotel to be just what I needed to become acquainted with Chiang Mai. The staff were helpful, accommodating, and friendly. I loved the timeless feel of the building. It is not your typical modern chain hotel, but rather a throwback to a more romantic nostalgic era, whenever that may have been. A shoutout to Patrick, the man who picked me up at the airport (an additional, reasonable charge). He acted as my guide as to what to do and where to go around the area. He suggested that I visit the night market in the Old Town- which I did. I wandered around for four hours and the visual, savory, musical experience was spiritual and transformational. I actually felt something inside me start to loosen up, shedding the hard pandemic shell I'd developed in the past few years. He also offered a tour of the Mon Jam mountain region, home to the resilient Hmong people and truly a beautiful drive on a winding road in the lush mountain forest. This was an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend taking this reasonably-priced tour. Everything about this place was wonderful. It is just the ticket for the tourist/pilgrim with a sense of adventure and romance.

Staff may have been muse for Little Britain
There isnt much to recommend this hotel. It has a good location, but so do all hotels in Chaing Mai as they are all centred around the old town square. This is outside the square but just barely. The staff are hilariously lackadaisical - ask to check in or to buy a drink at the bar or really anything and you get a sigh with a sneer but no help. Our toilet overflowed on the first day and they told us that the plumber would come at 3pm. No plumber and they didnt/ wouldnt make up the room. Stayed another night without use of bathroom and then moved. Dont do it.
