Great place to stay

Overall nice place to stay, nice location, easy check in and the property manager was very easy to talk to and communicate with. I would like to give a 4.75 only because parking was a pain. Other than parking everything was as good or better than what we were expecting. Please feel free to book this place it’s a go.

I would definitely stay here again! It is very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated! Very convenient location, in a very friendly neighborhood with lots of trees and very close to the beach. I would suggest providing an extra set of sheets to allow guests to make a bed on the couch and also extra towels to allow 2 towels per guest. Parking is on a first come first served basis on the street but not much you can do about that. We didn’t have any issues with parking. Both nights we found a space on Sheridan.

We booked this place last minute through instant booking, expecting a smooth process—but the check-in was intrusive and disjointed. We were peppered with questions in the platform chat about all guest names, ages, and where we were coming from. Then, on the day of check-in, someone other than the host called to ask about my profession—completely unnecessary and invasive.I was also required to go to a third-party website (Guesty) to upload photos of my ID and a selfie, which felt excessive and outside the normal bounds of privacy for short-term rentals. Communication came from multiple sources in inconsistent English and at inconvenient times, which added to the confusion and frustration.The apartment itself was fairly nicely furnished, and the AC was on when we arrived, which we appreciated. That said, cooling relies on noisy window units in each bedroom—light sleepers beware (though earplugs were provided). The kitchen was compact but well-stocked with cookware and dishes. Shower plumbing was finicky, and the tub drained very slowly, so showers resulted in standing water.Perhaps the most egregious issue: the map location shown on the VRBO listing is way off. The pin shows an area around Touhy and 43, but the actual apartment is closer to Loyola Beach in Rogers Park—about a 27-minute drive apart. That’s a major misrepresentation that impacted our plans.All in all, the hassles and privacy concerns outweighed the positives. We wouldn’t book here again.

Nice apartment in Rogers Park

Great location! Few minute walk to Lake Michigan. Very convenient. We absolutely enjoyed our stay!
