Cozy earth home with incredible views in Chickamauga

This unique, memorable earth home is anything but ordinary. Nestled on the side of a ridge under a magnificent oak tree, it has an amazing sunset view of lookout mountain. Perfect for a romantic getaway, or a solo retreat to unwind - truly a restful space for the soul.

This 500-square-foot, single room cob cottage has a spacious feel with a high ceiling and large windows spread across the front allowing for lots of natural light and a sense of being part of the surrounding nature.

This beautiful, off-grid earth home is a true labor of love: designed and built by Casey Gumm as a side project over the course of many years.
It was designed especially to be a romantic or solo getaway that gives much more than just a night away. The home was made from the earth directly around where it currently stands. Much of the wood - from the massive beams in the structure, to the solid slabs of the king bed - were harvested and milled from the surrounding woods. Don't be surprised if you feel an incredible sense of grounding from the moment you first open and walk through the huge, hand-built wooden door.

We hope you experience a deep shalom as you relax on the genuine leather couch, or sit by a gently crackling fire on the patio space, taking in nature and the surrounding view.

The bed is a 100% non toxic wool mattress and pillows topped with pure linen bedsheets and soft cotton muslin blankets to create a natural, healing, and luxurious rest.

The shower space has a wonderful natural feel with it's rustic tile and stonework. Complete with two shower heads. Dry off, afterwards, with natural linen bath towels, and slip into complimentary robes and house slippers - also 100% natural linen.

Despite only being about 500 square feet, this cob cabin has so much to offer - an incredible balance of cozy and rustic, spacious and luxurious.
