Great place to relax and enjoy
Unit was clean and quiet with beautiful views to the north and west. We could watch the sun set every evening and also got to watch dolphins swimming in the channel a couple of times. Easy walk to shops and restaurants on main street. Also used the swimming pool a couple of times (Hurricane Lee was offshore, so the surf was really rough at the beach.) All in all, a great experience.

Perfect spot with awesome water views. Guests are required to wash the bed sheets before leaving, which seems a bit over the top considering the hefty cleaning fee. Other than that everything was awesome

Cute condo on the water.
Our family of 4 (two adults, two kids age 7 and 8) had a wonderful time staying here. The condo was stocked and cozy. The owner was very attentive and helpful with things to do in the area. The porch was perfect for sitting and watching boats and wildlife go by with fantastic sunsets. It’s walking distance to restaurants and cute theater where they happened to have a juggling performance (the kids loved it!). Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely retreat on the water
This is a very comfortable, well-equipped condo that is right on the water. This is our third visit, the first in winter. The views out over the bay are spectacular. And the proximity to the beach and wildlife refuge cannot be beat.

Bay views from every room!
The views from every room were simply amazing!! The pool is just a walk down the stairs which was great for the kiddos. We had a wonderful stay and bathrooms were very clean. We enjoyed our stay!!

Lovely view but doesn’t sleep 7, comfortably,, no WiFi or TV, Post-It notes all over, cleaning expectations too high. Not adequate seating for 7 on the deck. The owner was in contact but intrusive. This would be adequate for 2 couples and 2 children.

Thank you for the compliment regarding our water views. Our goal is to provide the best for each guest as well as the same for the property. After check out there was a concern we addressed however no reply was received, instead an inaccurate review posted. The condo sleeps 6-8 guests comfortably. Emails and calls were answered promptly to assist guests. There were no concerns mentioned from guest during stay. Internet and TV all working. Meeting and exceeding expectations of each guest is our number one goal.

Beautiful condo with amazing channel views. The owner was very good with communication. We enjoyed our stay. There were a few small maintenance items but they did not detract from the experience. This is a VRBO and each one is different in terms of what is supplied. Even if you book through orbitz I'd recommend checking the original listing for details to avoid surprises.

This property does have the splendid views it advertises as well as the desirable location. It is furnished more like a home than like most beach condo summer rentals. This can be quite delightful. As a small caveat: Families with young children should be advised that throughout the condo there is artwork and there are breakable collectibles that they may wish to put out of reach of small hands.

The condo is huge! Every window looks over the water. We loved the dolphins swimming by and the gorgeous sunsets. Plenty of room for a family or 2-3 couples. Communication from the owner is excellent.

Girls Weekend
Went down during Hurricane Dorian. The owner was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early so we were able to stay “in” for the rest of the storm. Each bedroom offered beautiful water views. There are restaurants, bars, shopping all within walking distance. We can’t wait to go back.

Our Chincoteague visit
We had a wonderful visit to Chincoteague. Our Stay at the Sunset Bay Villas was perfect. The place was clean, cozy, and the views of the bay we’re beautiful, whether your on the the porch or looking at the bay from inside. Location, location, location. Cynthia was great with answering any of my questions. And check in was super easy. I highly recommend her place at the Sunset Bay Villas.

Great Stay in Chincoteague
My family and I had a great time on the island and the location of this property is perfect. Within walking distance of coffee shops and a book store and right down the street from Maddux Ave where all the action happens!! This property also offers great views. It has a wrap around outdoor deck that just lets you relax and enjoy the wildlife and passing boats. Overall great time and great property!

We had a wonderful stay here and I would highly recommend this property and Cynthia as a host. The location is fantastic, has great views, and is within walking distance of some great restaurants. The condo itself is very spacious and comfortable. Towels, hand soap, dish soap, dish washer detergent, laundry detergent, and toilet paper were all provided (at least for our stay). Bring your own body soap and shampoo as they are not provided. Cynthia is very responsive and considerate, so just text or use VRBO to message her if anything comes up. My only minor suggestion for improvement would be to look into more comfortable patio furniture. I know it has to be durable to withstand the winds, but it was so beautiful on the patio that we ended up spending most of our downtime there, and we could have enjoyed it even more with some cushions and/or larger, more comfortable seating!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting Cynthia's property. - The property was clean and inviting. - The view from the balcony (and from basically everywhere in the unit) was great. - The location was ideal. You could throw a tennis ball from the balcony and hit the Ropewalk restaurant. A short walk or drive to everything. - Cynthia is an active communicator. If you have a request or need anything at all (or even if you don't,) you'll feel like she is a friendly neighbor, ready to provide instructions or answer a question. We would definitely visit again!

The location was great for our long weekend visit to explore the area. The big windows offer a beautiful view of the water and there is a nice balcony that wraps around. The deck furniture wasn't the most comfortable but it was a nice spot for morning coffee. The beds were very comfortable. Cynthia provided helpful information and was very responsive.

Amazing water views!
A wonderful and spacious condo, right on the water and a short walk into downtown. The condo has a wonderful open layout, with plenty of space, a pool, and is a stones throw away for a good bite to eat at Ropewalk. The views are un-matched! Great experience.

Great Get Away
Cynthia’s second floor condo was wonderful. Spacious. Water views from every window. Tastefully decorated. Balcony right on water. Dolphins came in, in early evening, and swam out in morning. Pool area was great. All common areas clean and well kept. Centerslly located. Easy walking distance to town. Cynthia gave recommendations to eateries. Would definitely come back, and highly recommend this rental to friends.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The condo was perfect for our family.
The condo was perfectly situated on the water with amazing sunrise and sunset views. We had everything we needed to enjoy our 4-day weekend at what immediately felt like a home away from home. The decor was cozy and the atmosphere welcoming. The kitchen well-stocked allowing us to enjoy all our meals there except the one night we chose to eat our. We loved sitting on the deck and watching all the birds; we also saw turtles, fish and dolphin swimming right off the dock one story below us. We enjoyed the pool and a day at the beach on Assateague which was very close. We walked to shops and enjoyed one night out to dinner...all within walking distance of the condo. Everything about our stay here was peaceful and relaxing...exactly what we were looking for and needed. I highly recommend it!

The apartment was convenient to walk downtown, carnival grounds and right next door, Ropewalk(restaurant/bar). The apartment was cluttered, not very clean, kitchen lacked basics, TV confusing and outdoor furniture needed updating. I would recommend for convenient location, view of water and pool. I paid several fees but the cleaning fee was ridiculous, when it was dirty/dusty and owner asked me to do at least one load of wash of sheets before I checked out. There were no cleaning supplies.

Emily, Thank you for staying with me and your feedback. Prior to your stay I purchased and added a very high end smart TV and a Salterino style wrought iron patio set updating for the 2018 season. My kitchen is stocked with all the basics for cooking any meal. There is plenty room at the condo for guests to relax and enjoy the view, plus plenty of room to move about freely. The condo is cleaned between each guests stay and bathroom are sanitized. Basic cleaning supplies are onsite and available for guests use. I was unaware of concerns mentioned here. Everything you could want in a rental...central location, amenities, superb view.
The outstanding feature of this property is a panoramic view of the causeway and surrounding ocean inlets, with sunsets about as good as it gets. All the needed amenities are there, and the proprietor, Cynthia is immediately responsive to questions and requests for help. Highly recommended.

The property was very nice, perfect location. Owner was wonderful, very accommodating .
Overall the property was great, second level over looking water. Beautiful views. The kitchen was the only problem I had with this unit.. it is a great size but was chaotic. The owner had every cabinet and drawer filled to the brim with everything you could possible dream of but left no room for our food. Other than that, this will be our choice of vacation spots on the island.

My family and I had such a great time. The property is clean, spacious and has the best view of sunsets that I've ever seen. The complex also has a nice pool which was a huge hit with the kids. We will definitely be back.

Lovely condo, unpleasant experience
I booked this condo in February for our mid June family vacation. We specifically chose this particular property as our party included two young children and we wanted a pool. When we arrived, the pool was undergoing maintenance and could not be used for the entire length of our stay. In mid-June. Why was this maintenance/repair work not done before the height of summer? Good question. Then on the third day of six day stay we were awakened at 8 am to the sound of a circular saw. The exterior of the condo was being painted and the downspouts repaired. Again, it is mid-June. So instead of salty air, we had the smell of paint fumes. In addition, there was no toilet paper when we arrived. I specifically asked Cynthia if we needed to bring anything and she said "laundry detergent." When we told Cynthia about the pool issue and the paint issue she suggested we swim in the ocean. Yes, but not the point. We requested compensation in the form of one night's rent and she refused. We nevertheless had a lovely week on the island and were otherwise perfectly satisfied with the condo. The most upsetting part of the whole story, however, is that one month after our stay when I inquired about the status of our security deposit, Cynthia wrote that there was damage to Master bedroom dresser and accused us of leaving wet towels or clothing on the furniture. This is just false. It appears that she was upset that we complained about the pool and the paint. It is a very lovely condo and chances are you will have a great experience. We were just unfortunate to have arrived during maintenance week. Be sure to bring your own toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc.
