Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway located on a working 105-acre farm off I20 near the town of Cisco, Texas. We’re a 1.25-hour drive from Ft. Worth, 2.5 from Austin, and 3 from San Antonio. Use your time with us to decompress from city life and enjoy feeding the chickens, pigs and cows. Learn how to milk a dairy cow, make cheese, butter, or other homesteading/farming activities we might be up to on any given day.
The space
An attached studio apartment with a private entrance, queen bed, full galley kitchen, and large bathroom with jacuzzi tub. We're a mile off the black-top down a county-maintained gravel road. Hosts work at the property and live in the adjoining portion of the home. Three large livestock guardian dogs also roam the ranch which is why we do not allow pets. Expect country wildlife including the occasional spider, scorpion, or possibly a snake.
Amenities:
* Founding Father’s Coffee
* Full Leaf Tea Company Wellness Teas
* Rustic Strength Natural Bath and Body products
* Pack-and-play playpen
* Toddler bed
The area:
We’re a 20 to 25-minute drive to the local grocery store and offer pre-visit shopping to have anything you might need (details in our digital guidebook). Red Gap Brewery, Blue Duck Winery, Muddy Mikes, and La Finca are in Cisco. The amazing Majestic Theatre is located in Eastland. While you should expect small-town restaurant choices, you can always cook things we raise here at Lallygag Lane.
Guest access
While we do not restrict access to most of the property, we do ask that you check in with us before attempting to enter any of the livestock areas as well as any of the many outbuildings.
Other things to note
The attached apartment does share a wall with the family's ranch home. Your area is secured with a hotel-style double dead-bolted fire door separating the living spaces.
