Great views and location

First time staying at this property and the views and location on the lake were the best! Loved all of the water amenities for kids (jumping/fishing off the dock, kayaks, paddle board, boat slip). The views from the main floor were incredible. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay at Sunrise Cottage!

We recently enjoyed a long weekend at this property. The views are great, the dock access is easy and just the overall experience was superb! Rented a pontoon boat at nearby LaPrades Marina and enjoyed a terrific meal there as well. We had a small group of 3 adults, but the cottage can easily accomodate many more, especially kids. Rusty is a great host and we'd definitely stay again if the opportunity arises!

Charming & Convenient

Our family of 4 enjoyed the week- joined by 2 of my son’s friends for 2 days. Love the layout of the house with them downstairs and us up. Great location near LaPrades and Clayton and more. Love the lake toys & we rented a boat. Lake Burton is a joy. Communication was fantastic. Thank you!more.

GORGEOUS VIEW

We loved our stay at Rusty's place. He was such a great host and awesome to work with. The house has gorgeous views. There is a ladder off the deck if you want to bring your floats or swim. You also can just sit upstairs or downstairs at the lake and enjoy the view. Loved coffee in the morning overlooking the lake. GREAT lake access. It is also very convenient to LaPrade's marina which is fabulous for dinner. We will be back!

Perfect spot on the lake!

I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful this location is. You can see the lake from every room. Absolutely breathtaking! It’s a quaint cottage that was a comfortable, cozy spot for my husband and I to get away from it all and relax.

Loved the layout & location of this house! It was perfect! However, I don’t think it had been cleaned in a very long time. I would stay again but request it to be cleaned well before I got there.

Cute Lake Cabin w/ amazing water access!

Great property for a little summer getaway! Directly on the lake, it had incredible views and was so fun/easy for our group (age range 8mo-70yrs) to enjoy the outdoors and jump in the lake whenever it called! Rusty, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the stay. The cabin is cute and had what we needed for a vacation home. The house itself had a little more age than I expected from the listing and photos. For example, some of the furniture was due for an upgrade (seats and futon had some yucky staining) and I think the whole place could use a deep clean (quite a few cobwebs and lots of dust under the couch). The downstairs open space is also a bit underutilized right now - there is nothing other than a futon there. Would have been nice to be able to use that space for games, reading, etc. All that said, the outdoor decks are fantastic! Firepit for s'mores, grill, etc and owner was kind enough to let us use all the toys in the boathouse - kayaking, paddleboarding, etc. All in all, we had an amazing time but would recommend a deep cleaning and maybe a couple select upgrades to the furnishings. Thanks for a great stay!

Third year at this wonderful property

Though the weather did not cooperate with us this year, we still had a great vacation. As always, Rusty was a pleasure to deal with and made sure everything was taken care of. The views are spectacular from this house. It is well equipped and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and fun. We plan to book again next year and that is the highest compliment for this great property. Thanks again Rusty!

Wonderful place to get away

Wonderful house on Lake Burton. Great location and views. Kids loved being able to fish on dock and jump in the lake. Also, rented boat at marina down road and was able to dock it right at the house.
