Monte Carlo Inn Barrie Suites

10/10 Excellent

"The room seemed to be nicely renovated. Very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The pool was small, but it wasn't busy when I went. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the breakfast. There wasn't many options and you had to upgrade your voucher $8.00 to pick off a small selection of the menu (which usually consists of eggs, meat, potatoes, etc). My son was sad that they removed the French toast option. Overall, it was a nice hotel and I found it very well maintained and clean. Will book again in the future."

"I got the queen room that had the jetted hot tub in it. Room was nice, bathroom was spacious, couch was comfy and the TV allowed me to plug in my firestick (had to Hotspot it from my phone to work though). The only downfall I found was the comfort of the bed. I think the mattress needs upgrading but other than that, the room was nice. There was a nice selection for the breakfast. The pool was small, but I didn't need it, it was more for my child to use. I did notice a weird smell in the pool room though. The staff were nice and friendly. Besides some of the little cons I provided, I enjoyed my stay."

"Great room overlooking the pool area. Very lush property with great landscaping. Excellent location. 10 minutes to the Blue Mountain village. 10 minutes to Downtown Collingwood. Lots of shopping and restaurant options locally. The facility has been renovated with Wyndham the purchaser. The restaurant food in the hotel was excellent. I enjoyed our two night getaway. Would definitely go back. Great room rates for this standard. My negative observations were as follows. The renovation was a tremendous improvement but you can see areas where the budget was considered. The re-use of some furniture in the rooms, walls ere painted but in areas you could see remnants of the old colour. The rooms have the world's smallest bathrooms. The restaurant in the hotel was never busy but the one night I planned on eating dinner there I could not get a table...even though it was not busy...due to a staffing issue. We ended up going to the village instead. The hotel is still undergoing renovations but we were never inconvenienced. The Gym was new and amazing with brand new equipment. The tennis court was tired and definitely not to a standard for regular players. OVERALL THE HOTEL AND STAFF MADE FOR A GREAT GETAWAY ! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL !"
