Super cool little lake cabin, great decorations. Very simple cabin, quiet area. One bedroom and a couch that folds out to a bed.

Very nice place to stay for 2 people. Nicely decorated and the A/C is a beast! Really nice for Texas in August. Highly recommend.

I booked this cabin 6 months ago for the solar eclipse. Managed by VRBO. I got there and no way to access property. Turns out they have long term renters in there. Spent the night in the car. VRBO did get me a hotel for the second night but ... What a way to start a vacation.

Can't talk to host

When I rented this property, I was not going to get there until late, the host knew this, I tried to get the combination to the door and she said go through VRBO. Well guess what, the host didn't give them the combination neither, when I got there at 9pm NO COMBO, finally got in at 10:30pm, NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!!, when we got ready for bed, I stepped on a sandbur in the carpet and then found too more! Don't recommend this place if you are going to be showing up later in the evening!

My hubby and I spent the weekend at Camp Redneck for my birthday. As always we had a great time! So relaxing. And the lake is so close!! This is quickly becoming our “home away from home “. Thank you Melinda & Randy!! Y’all are awesome 🥰💕

I love this cabin!!

My husband and I needed a weekend away. We absolutely loved the cabin. The property is very well kept & so perfectly decorated. Everything that we could’ve needed was there. This has quickly become our favorite getaway location 🥰 Perfect!

We stayed here for a fishing trip. Right next to the marina and close to town. Great outdoor area for hanging out. Will stay here again.

Great location and amenities - just not cleaned prior to our arrival.

Hi Melinda, I haven’t completed the survey because I felt it was important you were aware that the cottage wasn’t clean upon our arrival. There were many cigarette butts in the trash creating a bad smell upon and the bathroom and beds did not appear to had been cleaned from the previous guest. The cottage was very cute and comfortable but I felt it was important to let you know that your housekeeper may not be completing the job they were hired to do. Thank you, Susan Keithley

Cute Cabin

The cabin was very clean and welcoming. Melinda was very responsive with any questions or concerns I had. Bring some charcole and BBQ on the stationary grill or enjoy the fire pit. The neighborhood is quite and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay.

Cozy and comfortable cabin

Had everything you could possibly need for a nice country cabin. The deck gets a nice breeze and the ceiling fan helps keep the mosquitoes away. And the property managers are super sweet and helpful.

Hospitality at its best

If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing place near the lake to unplug, unwind and spend quality time with your family and do some striper fishing, this is the place for you! It is a cozy tiny cabin in a quiet little neighborhood. Melinda and Randy are amazing! Melinda makes you feel right at home. You will leave feeling like you've made a new friend. She has been dubbed the hospitality queen of Laguna Park for good reason. If you're looking for a guide to take you out striper fishing, we highly recommend Randy with Team Redneck Striper Guide Service! He's been fishing Lake Whitney his entire life and knows the area like the back of his hand. The cabin, although small, is very welcoming and cozy. There's a nice fire pit outside off the front porch. The private door off the bedroom that leads outside is nice if you are an early riser and don't want to disturb the guests sleeping in the living room. Get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy some laid back country living!
