Piece of paradise
The property is exactly as I pictured it would be, the perfect location to explore the South Island of New Zealand. The size of the house was perfect for my wife and me and it was equipped for a small fajitas dinner and a couple of small breakfasts. The only issue was that the views from the property made it hard to leave since it was so breathtaking. We can’t wait to come back!

We love everything about Lakeside Maisonette. From the warm heated bed, bathroom (heater above the toilet) and living room (wood fire) to the magnificent view. Clean amenities and all necessary essential to make your stay special and comfortable. Most important of all is the privacy. You’re not sharing anything with the owner. It’s a stand alone house. Lakeside Maisonette would be one of the reason why we would revisit Queenstown.

A jewel in the wilderness!
Delightful. Quiet. Méditative. We’ll equipped. Private. Walking path and dock on the shore. Just a delightful experience. As travelers we would have appreciated wifi access. Thank you for a unique and restorative experience. 🙌

Awesome beautiful vacation home
We loved our stay. The cottage is beautiful and peaceful. Everything was perfect and the photos don’t do justice to the tranquility and peacefulness the home brings in.

Amazing Experience
I have stayed in Queenstown many times in the past and the Lakeside Maisonette was by far my favorite. We had to drag ourselves away from the property everyday and looked forward to getting back at the end of each day. The views are amazing and the trail and pier right below the property made it a little haven to really relax.

Breathtaking Views!
We loved our stay at the Lakeside Masionette! It had everything we needed and it was just the right size for two! Close enough to Queenstown, but away from all of the crowds. Very peaceful and private. So relaxing to sit on the deck and enjoy the amazing view. Great views from every room, even the shower! Christine was a great host, very responsive.

Beautiful property with stunning views and great hosts
We felt so lucky to stay in this house. The views are unforgettable and its only a short drive into town. Plan some time to enjoy the house and local walks...we highly recommend staying here.

Thank you for your review Mathew. I am sorry you did not enjoy the house and would appreciate if you would tell me more specifically what was wrong with everything except the view? I think the house is well described in the listing, so wonder what it was that disappointed you.

Best place ever!!!

Magical Place On The Water
Wonderful experience. If you're looking for a real getaway this is the place. Located just outside Queenstown, you're away from the traffic and crowds but close enough if you need anything. Uber was able to find us and it was quick ride into town. Amazing place!

Highly recommend this place. The views are to die for and the peaceful serene location is worth it. 6 mins from queenstown but you feel like your tucked away. Beds comfy and shower is wonderful. Owners are lovely and have some great advice on what and where to visit. Nothing negative at all about this place.

A Fantastic getaway
A fantastic location with uninterrupted views of the lake. Easy access to lake and walking trails. Great place to escape the bustle of Queenstown - but still under 10 minutes drive away. The house is fantastic with huge glass windows and a bathroom with a spectacular view. Highly recommended and I would love to come back again.

Perfect design for the location
Perfectly designed to capture the views from the location. Really no need for the television, as you can just watch the constantly changing pattern of light on the surrounding hills and listen to the wash of the wind on the lake. Comfortable house and a great location away from the town but close enough if you need something.

Very private and quiet with stunning views
The cottage is perfect for two and a great base to explore the Queenstown area. We spent 4 nights and enjoyed the secluded feeling while being close enough to town. The views are just beautiful and the pictures can't show how beautiful it is in person. The reasons we did not give the cottage 5 stars is that I like to cook our meals rather than eat out and I found that while I could manage to make do, the cooking facilities and wares were a bit less than I'd like. The outdoor grill needs to be replaced as well. We found that the cottage does not have any shades or blinds (other than a light filtering shade in the bedroom which does not allow for a dark room to sleep in when the sun rises at 5am) so if your looking to cut the amount of sun shining in you cannot, making the upstairs very hot (there is only air conditioning in the bedroom), you cannot keep all of the windows and doors open for ventilation because there are not screens on all the windows (bugs). I want to stress that we had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed ourselves here, these are just things I think in my opinion would make this property even better.

The Ultimate Masionette
The best place to stay visiting Queenstown area. Best views of any rental in the area. They could use a little larger TV and normal wifi but the cell signal is strong there, so no problem for us with the unlimited International plan. You will spend most of your day just looking out the window anyway. Close to Queenstown but far enough away to be out of the tourist jam. Actually it's just perfect for 2 people.

The most amazing wee place to stay in Queenstown!
We spent three nights here and it was not nearly enough time, the views from the house were spectacular, you could sit staring at it all day. We got married whilst here and had our ceremony on the jetty just in front of the house, it was so beautiful, could not have asked for anywhere more romantic. It isn’t too far out of the town and has lots of walking tracks near by, one goes from right in front of the house. Would buy this place if it was for sale!!

Honeymoon Stay in New Zealand
This place has by far the most amazing views! The floor to ceiling windows really help capture the beauty of Lake Wakatipu and the mountains. The house felt very cozy with heated beds, a fireplace, and a heated towel rack just to mention the few! The architecture of the home and its finish is just amazing!
