Great family vacation house

This is a great house for a group or family. It easily accommodated our crew of 8 and the location is good for accessing the beach and restaurants.

Great little beach house

We enjoyed our stay in Pacific City, this house is well cared for and we loved the decor. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the master bed mattress it was very firm and not very comfortable. Otherwise house was great!

Wonderful beach home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was great for our family vacation at Pacific City! It was close to the beach and an easy walk to get there. The kitchen was well appointed and we were able to cook several good meals. The house was clean and we liked that it even had a card table and chairs which we added for extra seating in the living room. The ping pong table was also a popular activity. We really enjoyed eating at and buying bread and scones from Grateful Bread, and got pizza from Doryland Pizza that was wonderful. Climbing the Giant Sand Hill is a family tradition and we loved that too. The only thing I would change about the house is to get a glass measuring cup and new dry measuring cups--I tried baking there and found that a little challenging with what was there. Otherwise the kitchen was great. We also liked that it had 2.5 baths because and extra potty is always good when you have a group! There was no central air but opening the windows made for cool days and nights. I'd definitely recommend this home!!

Extended beach getaway was perfect for family and friends

Reviewer Comments: Pacific City is one of my favorite places, quite a gem among the many great towns on the Oregon coast, and we've stayed at a number of places here over the years. And still, Swallow's Nest exceeded our expectations. The house was spacious, immaculately clean, had everything we needed for a getaway with family and friends, and was only a convenient walk away from the beach. We found it kid-friendly, with the loft and games/puzzles being particularly exciting for them. And it lived up to being dog friendly, for our mid/small dog. The kitchen was better supplied than we anticipated, with everything from cooking sheets to a stockpot. There was an abundance of linens at our disposal, plus a washer and dryer, which was useful as people came and went during the week. Even an extra card table and chairs, tucked away for use if needed, provided welcome flexibility (and was quickly commandeered for the occasional puzzle or schoolwork). Deer wandering amongst the neighborhood's beach grass was also a welcome sight, and made for yet another thing to look forward to during morning walks. If this house has any drawbacks, it would be that it doesn't have much of a beach view, since it is backed up against taller houses. Though this is also a benefit, as it makes for a better price point, especially if your priority is a comfortable space for a large group.

Reviewer Comments: This is a nice rental with plenty of space with 4 bedrooms. It was well equipped. As a pet friendly home we found proof that pets were there with pet hair etc. Which told us the cleaners could have been a little more thorough but it didn't deter us from a great family Vaca. Also if you're planning on having your meals at the house Would recommend bringing leftover storage such as baggies, foil etc. And an extra garbage bag. Again the house was great, these are just hopefully helpful comments.

Great space. Inadequate cleaning

Well set up home. Nice beds and space to spread out. Nice decor. Cleaning not great. Floors had not been cleaned! Large furry dust bunnies everywhere! A toy car under the bottom sheet!! Was it fresh??(we had no small children with us). Kitchen was fine. Towels and toiletries were still in a bag.. Felt like they didn’t have enough time to get the job done. 😳All in all a very nice stay. Positive a nice home. Negative poor cleaning

Relaxing Family Getaway

A beautiful home, walking distance to the beach, & fully stocked with everything you could think of (I definitely overpacked)! Lots of room for all & the loft was a fun area for the kids! We enjoyed many meals, games, and movies. We loved the open kitchen concept, vaulted ceilings and big dining table. Owners were super great about communicating an issue just before we arrived, but quickly resolved it. Great service and would just recommend closer attention to dust accumulation in those hard to reach places- not a deal breaker for us. The jetted tub in the master was a nice bonus!! We would have loved to have use the bikes, but they could use a little maintenance. We hope to be back for sure!
