Lovely stay in colonial house
Lovely colonial style home-turned-hotel. I’d say it’s more of a B&B rather than hotel. The stay was comfortable, the staff were super attentive and went above and beyond. The only negative remarks: the wifi was a bit weak and the house gates remain locked and you have to knock and disturb the security guard to let you in. That aside, it was a lovely stay.

We have never stayed in Cobán before, so I do not have a basis to compare. But our overall impression was this was a really nice, quaint, family-run hotel. The staff, which consisted of the owner and perhaps a grandson or a family friend, were extremely helpful and nice. The decor consisted of a lot of cool antics like a juke box. Our grandson was also impressed with the “retro”television sets in the rooms.

the rooms faced a pretty garden and were clean and well maintained. Upon booking the hotel for the room with three beds it only gave me an option for a sigle person. On checking in I was not told the charges for the two additional guests.
