Lovely lake getaway

Adorable house, so comfortable and quiet on Lake Champlain. We spent two idyllic weeks here and would absolutely go again.

Location, location!

Spectacular location on Lake Champlain. The house is a terrific place for connecting with family. The open concept living area is perfect for hanging out in the expansive kitchen and living room. Great stay!!

Lakeside getaway

This property was beautiful inside and out. The water comes right up to the house and you can hear the waves at night which is so peaceful. It was a quiet location and a great amount of space inside. It was very easy to get in contact with somebody when we needed assistance and I would definitely book this property again!

Fun times for UVM graduation

This was a great house for us to stay at to celebrate our son's graduation from UVM. Plenty of room for us, him, aunt & uncle, friend, and dog. We loved the sounds and view of the lake, and found that to be very relaxing. We had a lot of fun playing cards at the big table. The drive into Burlington and UVM was about 20 min, and we had easy access to all the places we wanted to go. We hope to stay here again in the near future.

A great stay for homebodies!

Came to spend time with my sisters and best friends. We had 6 guests in total and we had plenty of room in the house! The kitchen was very clean and large. Plenty of pots, pans and cutlery were available for us to use. The house is in a very quiet area and we only heard the lake splashing along the shoreline (with a BEAUTIFUL view in both the living room and master bedroom). It does get very windy some days but I’d highly recommend this house to anyone who wants a nice, relaxing time with family and friends.

Beautiful Lakeside house

This is a spacious house in a beautiful location right on the shore of Lake Champlain. There is limited access right behind the house where we were able to take pictures of the comet and gorgeous sunsets. There are many books to be read and a variety to choose from. We weren’t able to use the fireplaces for some reason. But after reading the House Instructions, we saw they weren’t available. Definitely read those few pages because they contain many instructions for trash dispersal (composting, recycling, etc.).But we loved the large table for games and dinner, and the kitchen was well-appointed with utensils and cookware. No groceries, so be sure to bring some. A grocery store and some take out options are nearby. Overall, we were comfortable and would stay there again.

Amazing sunsets...great gathering spot for friends and family

Total relaxation; loved listening to the waves lapping on the shore. Wish the home had a deck and/or screened in porch...could get a bit buggy. However, not complaining!!

Very nice house with a great location right on the water. Amazing views from many rooms. 10 min drive to downtown Burlington. House has mini-split ACs but only the master bedroom has a mini-split in the room. The other bedrooms have ceiling fans. Only mentioning this as it was 90F and it got a bit warm in the bedrooms. Only thing that could have made a better stay would be some sort of canoe, kayak or other floating toys.

Great stay on Lake Champlain! Love that all the windows are screened so you can open them up and enjoy the sounds of the lake. Nice open main living area with great views. Our 2 year old loved pointing at the families of ducks and geese and watching the boats go by when we weren’t out and about. A nice bonus would have been an outdoor seating area, but we were out exploring so much we didn’t miss it too much. Overall a great stay!

Location can’t get better and house is beautiful

The house is located right on the lake and was a beautiful view to eat breakfast to every morning. Owners were responsive with questions and messages about the property. Highly recommend this stay.

Vacasa is a terrible property manager - no heat at property in Nov

This post is directed to the management company of Vacasa. Their communication was abhorrent. We did not have heat in the house during our stay in November. The indoor temperature was 56F while outside was 20F. Some of the thermostat batteries were dead and we couldn’t find replacements. Immediately I contacted the numbers listed in the book provided as well as the numbers from my check in instructions. No response. And still no heat. I called and texted again, told our issue was in the queue and to hold tight. Still no response. That night was COLD. I called and texted the next morning, referenced the previous night’s outreach attempts, asked for a prompt reply - NOTHING other than our call was logged in the queue. Repeated the calls/texts the next day (3rd day of outreach) but CRICKETS. Upon returning home, I sent screenshots of my phone’s communications logs to Vacasa to prove my attempts to contact them about the heating problem and still nothing. I’ve disputed the charges on my credit card since I have no other way of getting in touch with Vacasa. Now about the property - it was wonderful! We loved the location, the layout, the kitchen, the views. It suited our family and our needs to a t. I just wish it had heat.

Great spot!

The house was wonderful! Everything was just beautiful and the home is centrally located to explore quite a bit of Vermont. The area is serene and peaceful. You couldn't ask for a quieter spot. The lake view is incredible. I would definitely stay here again if we ever get back to Vermont!

Colchester Lake House

Amazing location to everything. This is a unique and lovely home with views galore. A few updates needed for the linen. It’s a lake house- we were lucky to be there in September- very few bugs to bother us. I can recommend this as a comfortable place to stay. AND - dog friendly- but we couldn’t bring our pups.
