“The room was very clean and cozy, and the owner was incredibly nice and hospitable. My favorite part of the stay was the breakfast and the free cookies. What really stood out to me was how accommodating the owner was. My brother decided to join us last minute even though I had booked for only three people. I reached out to let her know, and she kindly updated the booking to four guests without any extra charge. I truly appreciated her flexibility and hospitality. I definitely recommend!”

“The Inn is very charming and is on the national register of historic places. They had a restaurant open nightly with live music Friday evening, which made the experience special! The front desk staff were very friendly and the coffee and tea station with real half-and-half or whole milk was a nice touch!”

“Butler House speaks of itself: a house with the amazing management of a great butler - the result of the dedication of the owner, Paul and his wife. Paul was so friendly and though he was always busy at the breakfast room, he always checked if we needed help Our room was spacious, clean and tidy and offered everything we need.The kitchen is big and we enjoyed cooking there. I used their washing machine and dryer and detergent and softener were available. Highly recommended for couples……

“When reserving this significantly priced location, we were seeking a room that had a kitchenette in reality. The kitchenette that exist in these facilities is not sufficient for the type of traveler who wishes to make meals of any sort within the premise there is no venting for additional moisture caused by boiling water or smells caused from cooking something with onions for example, there were no sharp knives no capability of cutting some sort of vegetable or fruit the setting is beautiful.……

“Cool vibe. Liked the adults only aspect. Only downside was that the outdoor hot tub was broken. They did allow us access to the indoor hot tub at their adjacent property as an alternative.”

“I was in Stowe last weekend and broke my shoulder so the next day I stopped by the Grey Fox inn to ask the if they could please cancel my reservation because of my accident. I was aware I had made the reservation through Expedia and was also aware that the cancelation date was over due. I explained the situation to the front desk girls (2) and both said I had to contact Expedia. I did, Expedia contacted the hotel and the hotel said no...I'm sure they double sold my room since they know I was not……

“Great spot to stay for hitting the slopes at Stowe. Big indoor hot tub and the cool fire pit for s’mores!”

“Friendly staff! It wasn't peak season yet so it was quiet but there wasn't a lot of breakfast option.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the inn especially coming to a hot tub after a whole day on the slopes. Breakfast was delicious and coffee was always fresh. Our room was nice and clean with a wonderful view to the mountain. We were on the lower floor so we could hear a lot of noise from the guests upstairs which was the only downside. ”

“My room was spotless, bed and pillows were so comfy, and breakfast was delicious. Don, the host was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the Brass Lantern Inn!”

“Everything was clean and comfortable. Though I understand the economic advantages of using plastic cups, I think glassware should be available for drinking all beverages. Upgrading the breakfast danish and muffins would be nice - local bakery perhaps ? ”
