This was an amazing property, and we would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Colorado Springs.The beds were incredibly comfortable, the house was stocked full of amenities (both in the kitchen and in the bedrooms in case you forgot to bring something with you). We spent time each night up on the rooftop patio, just sitting and watching wildlife and enjoying the beauty of the mountains. We didn't get to use the fire pit because we went in the heat of July, but that would be perfect for a chilly night!! Counting Stars is, by far, the most comfortable stay we've had at a VRBO.

Wonderful Home

Amazing place to stay!

Debbie is a wonderful host and cares that guests have a nice stay. The house is clean, comfortable, and has everything you could possibly need. The location was perfect location for getting around. The rooftop patio is a wonderful place to relax. Highly recommend!

Location and Amenities!

This duplex has such an awesome location. It’s 10 minutes give or take to the Cog Railway Depot, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Garden of the Gods, downtown Manitou, and Old Colorado City. The home is very young child friendly with a garage to park in, bathtubs in both bathrooms, and a park just down the street. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, and the hostess even left us a welcome note and a tasty treat. The beds were heavenly! We had such a wonderful stay!

Everything was ideal

We had a magnificent stay at this property. The owner made sure that we had everything we needed. The rooftop deck is great and there was more than enough room for 4 people. We would definitely book again if we were ever in the area again.

One of the most thoughtful stays I've ever had

5 Star Stay!!

Debbie was great and very easy to communicate with! She even went out of her way to leave us a special treat for the kids and told us fun activities that the kids would love. The property was very clean and well stocked for even little items we forgot to bring. We had the best week and it was largely due to Debbie making our stay so enjoyable.

Best Host/Awesome Place

Debbie is one of the best hosts I’ve had and I have used Vrbo many,many times. There wasn’t anything that we needed that she did not have. The rooftop one of the best things about this place. The evenings and mornings up on the roof top with the friends we traveled with was a highlight of the trip. It is un a great location, central to the top spots.

Spectacular home, beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you might need and more. So much more than we expected. The rooftop deck is over-the-top! The panoramic views will take your breath away. The owner is very friendly and our stay was perfect. We hope it will be available again next year!

Amazing base for vacation

This is one of those places you either want to share with everyone or keep alllll to yourself. :) Counting Stars was SO great for us - family of 4 - parents and a 19 and 23 year old. Communication with Debbie, the host, was excellent. Check in/out super easy. Off-street and garage parking. A fantastic roof top deck and 2 chairs out front offer perfect outdoor space. A delish skillet cookie upon arrival - delightful and unexpected. Fully stocked kitchen from plastic bags to spices to condiments and cooking oil and coffee or tea. We enjoyed 4 nights and loved it all. This home is close to a beautiful city park and a nature center. Access to hiking, biking, restaurants, shops - easy, easy. It's a lovely place with thoughtful touches and a warm and inviting decor. You will love it!

Counting Stars Adobe is a lovely place, conveniently located in Colorado Springs and with everything you and your family will need for your stay there. It was immaculately clean and fully equipped. All the main attractions are within 15 minutes of the location as well as a wide variety of local restaurants, fast food recognizable chains and a multitude of stores, including grocery stores. You and your family will have the opportunity to build great memories in this adobe. From all the roof top activities, the possibilities inside the house or the magic around it like the amazing night sky or the deers' greetings in the mornings! The owner will make you and your family feel special and will go above the way to ensure your needs are taken care of and your stay is pleasant! Having stayed in such an amazing place for such an affordable price, makes us not want to stay in a conventional hotel ever again! This property and Ms. Debbie have earned our business. We will be back to visit Counting Stars!

Perfect in every way

I have stayed in a number of VRBO rentals, as well as rentals from other companies all over the world. This one has to be the best I have ever stayed in. Debbie has made sure that every detail is covered. Her communication both before we arrived and during our stay was timely, friendly and accessible. Her home is furnished with attention to detail, including a basket of toiletries one might have forgotten to bring. There were plenty of towels and bed linens, and the kitchen was almost as well-stocked as my own. Be sure to go to the house before purchasing your groceries - the house is already equipped with many basics such as oil, aluminum foil, several bottles of water, condiments, coffee items, etc... Her fresh-baked cookie was a lovely touch. Our kids are allergic to nuts, and never eat anything we don't read the ingredients on, but it was still thoughtful of her to let us know that the cookie was not safe for nut allergies. In my experience, that thought never crosses most people's minds. Kudos Debbie! We arrived during a relative heat wave in Colorado Springs, and had some difficulty getting the temperature adjusted downstairs, since the thermostat is upstairs. The downstairs was quite chilly. We figured out that the automatic settings on the thermostat were causing it to not keep a constant temp at night. Once we figured that out, we were very comfortable. My only suggestion for warmer months might be a ceiling fan in the MBR. However, this may be a rare occasion in CO (I'm not sure - we live in AL where heat is the norm). My children were happy downstairs with their own bath and separate bedrooms. The day bed has a pull-out trundle that we did not use, but could come in handy. There was plenty of drawer and closet storage in every room. This home is ideally located if you are planning to visit Pike's Peak, Manitou, Seven Falls, the zoo, etc... It wasn't more than 15-20 minutes to any of these and being close by with little traffic contributed to the calm of our vacation. The upper deck was a nice spot to watch the stars, and to catch some wind. My son insisted we get a small kite for him to fly from the deck because of the abundance of wind. We found it at the nearby WalMart, which was only about 10 minutes away. If you have small kids, you will be happy to discover several lovely parks in and around this area with green spaces and playgrounds. There are also bike lanes on many of the roads here. We could not have asked for more!

INCREDIBLE! This home is spotless and located perfectly for adventure. Beautiful mountain trails are so close that we were able to do several quick hikes daily. Spacious relaxing livingroom with windows to the mountains and daily deer seem on hillside across the street. Also, a chest packed full of games. Super plush towels with baskets of essential toiletries offered for the taking. Kitchen equipped with everything we needed to make usually three meals daily. Very quiet at night, except for a few welcomed wildlife moments. Beds totally comfortable. Spotless garage. College kids stayed in lower level and master was on first level. Provided a private area for all with full bathroom on both levels. The next two mentioned items are important. The rooftop deck is worth every moment of enjoyment. Excellent addition to a wonderful home. Lastly, we got to meet the super precious owners who truly enjoy making your experience top notch. I’d look no where else upon our next visit to Colorado Springs. P.S. The road you might see in front of home was quiet and we enjoyed seeing all the bikers coasting down or pushing there way up as they passed by. LOVED THIS STAY

A Perfect Stay

We absolutely loved this rental property! We've stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this was probably our favorite. Debbie was great with communication about finding the property and the best way to unload, as well as recommendations for the area. She surprised us with a delicious treat upon arrival. And, she has the place stocked with everything you could possibly need. It makes it feel like home! All the linens and paper products are high quality, too. It makes a difference! The beds were so comfortable - like sleeping on a cloud. The neighborhood was quiet, and the rooftop patio has a great view. The location is perfect for being close to everything in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. We loved this visit and were sad to leave so soon. Thanks for giving us a great start to our trip!

One of the best rental experiences we’ve ever had. The host was amazing and the care they put into the property and the renters experience is obvious. They provided great local recommendations, info on nearby activities, and even baked us a welcome treat. The location was perfect for us as it was just minutes away from the things we wanted to do and see like Garden of the Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, and Cave of the Winds. And at the end of each day, we would relax on the rooftop deck and watch the wildlife across the road. Highly recommend!

Long weekend family gathering

I can’t say enough about this property. Absolutely beautiful and not a detail forgotten. You could literally bring your clothes and nothing else as Debbie thought of everything from toiletries to kitchen items. Just like being at home. Location was perfect as well. We will definitely be staying here again.

Clean, Comfortable, Quiet and a Panoramic View

Grandparents looking after grandson while son and daughter-in-law attended a wedding. The house was immaculately clean, quiet, roomy enough for us, beautifully furnished, very well equipped, and had very comfortable beds. Bedrooms on different levels made for great privacy. The host was very helpful and accommodating. The 360-degree view from the rooftop deck is beautiful. Unfortunately, rainy weather prevented us from enjoying the fire table up there, which would have been a cherry on top. Overall, it was an excellent place for our stay.

Wonderful House!

"Counting Stars" is the best VRBO property I have ever rented. The location was perfect. It was so easy to visit Garden of the Gods, Eyrie Castle, Seven Falls, The Broadmoor, Pikes Peak and the Royal Gorge. Very close to Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City and downtown Colorado Springs. The house is so comfortable and fully equipped. The roof top deck is really great with nice views and a fire pit. The host, Debbie, is wo derful yo work with. Her response time is so impressive and she provides wonderful suggestions and information. Do not hesitate to rent this property. You will love it! Pikes Peak

Perfect location

My husband and I were in Colorado Springs last week and spent 4 nights at Counting Stars Adobe. This home is absolutely perfect. it was clean, had everything that you would need and is in the perfect location. Debbie texted to make sure we had everything we needed, which I appreciated. I highly recommend this home. We will definitely be back!
