It was late and we had been out all night and all we wanted to do was come get check in and get in bed. The door to get to the front desk was locked so we were stuck outside in the freezing cold. I was ringing the doorbell but no one was answering. So, i rang and rang and rang until someone with a not nice attitude came from the bar area to let me in.
Finally a lady came up to the counter so I approached her and said, I would like to check in. She looked at me and said, what does the sign say?? The sign said something along the lines of the front desk receptionist was helping a guest in their room and we would need to sit and wait. Well I looked at the lady that was sitting right there and said, yes but you are here. She said, I am just filling in for her. I can't check you in.
To me, it would have made more sense for someone that cant check people in to go help a guest in their room so we could get checked in and go to our room at 10pm at night.
Once she finally came back and got us checked in, the room was great, plenty of space, loved the environemnt....but the walls were SO THIN, we could hear the guy in the room next to us sneeze and blow his nose. The people around us did not go to sleep until sometime in the middle of the night, which would not have been a big deal except we could hear everything they were saying and doing.
It was an unfortunate night for us and one we wouldn't want to have again.
