It's a good motel to stay at for exploring Cooma and its surrounding areas. It's in a good spot just off the main road enough to not hear any traffic and the view from the lower rooms is great.

Building new cabin rooms with modern look. Room a wee small to manoeuvre especially if you have a luggage to place on the floor. Well equipped amenities and utensils. Pool was closed but we were not given a headsup before hand. Room & Reception had no information on the town eg places to see, pr interest, or nearby restaurants for visiting tourists. Had some wildlife outside the room as a bonus.

The hotel room we had was large. It was clean & tidy. The room was a bit 'tired' but major renovation works are taking place & the place will end up being fantastic. The owner is amazing.

Really nice modern room. Friendly staff, currently under renovation but I’m sure when it’s finished it will be fabulous. Seriously our room was beautifully brand new , lovely bathroom and kitchen facilities. Our cavoodle was welcomed and enjoyed hanging with us. We would definitely stay here again

The new rooms at Cooma High Country Motel are fabulous. It is a bit out of town but that meant is was wonderfully quiet...no trucks rumbling by. Great views too. They are building a fabulous camp kitchen with an oven!!! The place us goung to be fantastic but at the moment it is a bit of an eye sore with lots of construction going on while they update the last of their rooms. If you can block out the broken lamp posts, cyclone fencing and construction equipment you are in for a treat. New rooms have a mini kitchenette wuth cooking facilities so you dont have to eat out. Massive tvs in every room and very nice bathrooms. Beds and linen were top notch. We will definitely be back. Loved it!!

I sustained damage to my vehicle she to a cement wall which was too low to be visible from the servers side. I understand the venue is under construction, and suggest a marker at the corner of the driveway heading to the lower units.

The staff here are amazing and the rooms are new, clean and well appointed. I can't wait until all the reconstruction is done (at the moment there are several construction areas) and would definitely stay again! Plus, pets are welcome for only $25 p.n. so our pup could happily stay with us :)

Lady at reception was asleep in her chair when we turned up was just after 9pm, took about 10minutes for me to wake her. Room was small with 2 double beds in not what I asked for could hardly move around in the room, floor was not level. Dog poo by the entry door of our car the following morning, lucky I noticed it & didn't step on it before climbing into our car for another long day of driving.....not somewhere I will stay again

Loved the views out to the bush where we could watch Kangas. Interesting hotel as its in the middle of renovations which seem to be happening everywhere. We had an older room but were comfortable enough.Thin walls.

It’s hard to give a definitive review as the property is in the process of enormous refurbishment and construction. We were fortunate to get a refurbished room for the night, had a lovely view looking over the town and sunrise in the morning. The refurbishment of this room was excellent, however the room was very small so we had to manoeuvre around each other constantly. Ideal for a single person. The pluses were : lots of power points, excellent shower, huge TV with Netflix, You Tube etc available. Very good wifi, very comfortable bed. I would highly recommend in another 6 months to a year when it may be completed but before that request a refurbished room only.

You wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Cooma. The newly refurbished room was terrific. Modern, top quality. The hostess/receptionist was charming and such a people person. Loved my stay immensely

Complex is in process of being upgraded / refurbished so outside appearance is "ordinary" at moment (Sept 2023). The room provided was not an upgraded room (an upgraded room was offered for a slight up-charge but was declined by self) and room allocated was clean & functional. No cooking / food heating facility inside room (explained at check-in) and as complex is more than a walk "out of town" it was eat in town (many options) or take away. Not an issue as only an overnight stay

The room stunk of some sort of excessive cleaning product similar to Glen 20 or some type of carpet cleaner, as a result the room’s window had to be left wide open for 3 hrs so that the room could air out properly. The room’s walls were also very thin which meant being kept up all night by excessive noise from the people in the rooms next door.

We stayed in the newly-renovated King kitchenette room with our dog. It’s clean and the parking is just in front of our room. Renovations are still ongoing around the property. Would love to come back when all the renovations are done. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay.

I loved the real country feel to the place and how it's just off the main road meaning no truck noise. It was peaceful. I was able to park my car right at the door which was good. Sharon was so friendly and helped me so much. The room I stayed in was quite good. WiFi worked extremely well and I was able to connect my PC to the TV via HDMI and watch TV through the Internet. The only negative and I said this to Sharon was that the bed and pillows were both hard as a rock. The place is undergoing upgrades so there is going to be a finished product. Thanks Sharon for being so friendly.

The room was great but the bed is too big for the room. King beds are nice but it doesn't leave any space for living - a queen would be plenty. The garage has a big dip before you enter it which nearly damaged our car bumper bar. needs fixing. The shower is awesome

This motel is under new ownership and the focus is about building and renovations. It’ll need some time to settle down and get organised. The king room kitchenette is tight on space. Would have be better fitted with a queen bed. Exercise caution with peak season stays - the tariffs get expensive and you may get allocated a room which is just completed but the time has not been allowed to finish it and complete the snagging. The issues with our room have been communicated to the motel.

While it is an older motel it is clean, quiet and feels immersed in nature. It was a perfect stay on our way through town and even allowed us to have our dog stay with us.

Hi We would love to give you some feedback regarding our resent stay at Cooma High Country Motel. Firstly after a long day traveling, all we required was a place to rest up before traveling on. We found the Motel to be in total disarray from the moment we arrived. It seemed to us that the booking was a issue as it took quite sometime to organize which room was booked for us. The room was very dusty and the furniture was very unstable. When the bathroom shower was used the water covered the entire bathroom floor and we place a towel on the floor to stop the water reaching the carpet (entrance). The rooms roof and walls creaked the whole time. When the neighboring rooms door closed it vibrated through out room 40 walls this happened many times. There seemed to be lots of noisy traffic moving through out the motel at night. The rose bush at the car park (outside room 40) needed to be trimmed as the small bugs that covered the roses covered us as we got on and out the car. We hope you can continue to improve your motel but at this stage we can not give your motel a positive recommendation. Thank you Wayne and Julie O'Neil

The new owners have renovated the rooms and they are modern and comfortable, the owners are really welcoming and cheerful and the rooms we had were large and clean. We stopped here for the night on our way to Thredbo to MTB with 12 guys (3 rooms) and it was perfect, walked down to the pub in town for a meal that evening and got off early the next morning to ride.
