Original Kiwi Bach 0420

Bright and cheerful, cozy, well-equipped, north-facing, indoor-outdoor flow. Enjoy barbeques under the shade sail on large deck. Garden setting, in the heart of Coopers Beach. Shopping center with essential amenities diagonally across the road.

One minute walk to safe, sandy beach - swimming, kayaking, children's playground, fishing off the beach or rocks in the coves. Two kilometers of picturesque pohutukawa shore line, access to Conservation Department Reserve and easy walking to Pa Site and Mill Bay.

Five minute drive to historic Mangonui Village with "The" Fish and Chip shop, cafes, restaurants and bars. Go to HiHi Beach (10 minutes), Kari Kari Peninsula (Carrington Golf Course and Winery), Matai Bay, Taupo Bay or Whangaroa Harbour, all within 35 minutes traveling time.

Make day trips to Cape Reinga, North Cape, 90 Mile Beach, Kauri Kingdom or Shipwreck Bay; Kauri Forests and the Hokianga Harbour to the South or Keri Keri and the Bay of Islands (Paihia, Russel and Waitangi) in the east.

Kiwi Bach by the Sea

Had a very relaxing stay at this classic kiwi bach. Perfect position just across the road from the beach and with everything you need (except wifi). Close to supermarket and places to eat at Mangonui or Taipa but dont get caught out ... almost everything shuts by 7pm!

Perfect family stay

We loved staying here. Was clean and comfortable. The bunk bed was a huge hit with the kids (although wouldn’t plan to have adults stay in this room as mattresses are foam - perfect for kids though). The red kitchen was very kitsch (in a fun way). Location was superb. Gay was lovely to deal with. I’m sure we’ll be back!

I’m loathed to write this review as I love this bach so much I’d rather keep it to myself! We’ve had two dreamy summer holidays here and love the location, close to the beach and all the amenities. The property is meticulous and has everything you need. Gay is a dream to deal with. We can’t wait for our next escape to the Far North!

We had a great time staying in this bach. It had everything we needed and the location is great. Right across the road from the beach, playground and Four Square.Gay was very accommodating and has ensured the place is very clean and well stocked. We would stay again!

The property at Coopers Beach was excellent. Across the road to the playground and beach. Just need to watch crossing the road as it is a very busy highway. Gay, the hostess was lovely. House was extremely clean and everything required for our stay at Christmas

Wonderful stay at the bach

Absolutely spotlessly clean bach! Great location across from the Coopers beach shops, beach and playground. Very well set up and kept 2 bedroom with renovated kitchen and shower. Deck and bbq make relaxing easy. Pull out couch was comfortable. Lovely garden with gorgous flowers and birds. We always have an awesome stay here.

Great affordable option

Our family of 4 had a great stay at this basic but well set up bach. The photos need updating as the property has been refreshed with new paint etc. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Plenty of towels, washing machine and line... Lovely garden with tropical plants - you can tell Gay puts a lot of work into it. Perfect size for us with 2 small children. SH10 is more busy than usual currently with the SH1 closure so there is steady traffic but didn't notice it much at night time. The property has the shops opposite on one side and the beach/reserve on the other so very handy. Cooper's Beach itself is a great beach for kids. Would recommend as a great affordable option.

Coopers beach hideaway

Beautifully presented clean and comfortable kiwi bach with welcoming host nearby. Although a great deal of traffic passes by on SH10, the wall of trees and shrubs create a sound block and total privacy. Very close to beach, shopping centre, walks and beautiful Mangonui.

Lovely house

We had a great stay at Cooper's Beach. The beach is easy to walk, the water is fairly shallow and good for boogie boards. The house was well equipped. It has new carpet and paint. The kitchen has plenty of disy, pans, etc. Easy to walk over to the beach or the shops. And Gay was a lovely hostess.
