"I was very underwhelmed. The hotel is very old and outdated. It would have been great in its day. Disappointed as it’s very expensive. Food was not very good either. The only good thing was the lovely friendly staff."

"We stayed here for one night before our last day in Fiji! The hotel is walkable to the airport but has a shuttle service which is extremely convenient. As our flight wasn’t until the night time, we were able to store our bags while exploring Nadi. When we returned, the hotel provided beach towel and we were able to use the pool showers to clean up and get ready for our flight. Our only complaint was that upon arrival, the whole area smelled of smoke and our room like that of cigarettes. When we notified staff, they were quick to remedy the situation with sprays which did help."

"Great layout , beautiful pools , no beach swimming but this we did not mind . Staff are absolutely lovely Jim , Niko , Samantha , Kesha , the garden staff , pool staff all so welcoming . Great breakfasts"

Tambua Sands Beach Resort - Adults Only

"Massively disappointed. We booked & paid for a private plunge pool bure and arrived at the hotel to find we had a been allocated a beach front bure. The hotel did nothing to compensate or reimburse the difference in cost. Look at the bad reviews on most booking platforms, it seems to have happened regularly at Tambua Sands."

"This is the third time we have stayed at The Outrigger Fiji. It is just lovely! The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. If you have children, they will be entertained for hours and if you do not have children there is the adults only pool area plus the layout of the grounds, restaurants etc are such that you do not feel on top of each other and certainly have your own space!"

"Our room was near the pools and lagoon which meant easy access. There were lots of free activities offered, some of which were in the large outdoor pool if you wanted to join in. The staff were very friendly, helpful and seemed to be happy to be working at the Marriott no matter what they were doing...and had beautiful singing voices which we often heard if a celebration was held or a person was leaving. The breakfast offered a large, varied selection of food for all nationalities to choose from was an enjoyable start to the day, The downside to our stay was that we really enjoyed our time in a beautiful setting but the cost meant we wouldn't be able to return for a while."
